Winston Hotel — Hotel in Pasay

I a never coming back to this Hotel. I don't recommend it. We stayed here yesterday and I had the worst experience of my life. The room is okay but the aircon is not that cold. The food was great. The thing that annoyed me is that I paid for our lunch and they were trying to double charge me. I paid using card and they said it failed. before trying to pay again, I checked my banking app and I am already charged. They keep reiterating that they haven't received the payment. The bill I was trying to pay for the food is not a joke since it is on the higher side. Me and my partner was being bombarded on or room. Their staffs keep on knocking on our door and ringing our doorbell. We felt like our privacy and relaxation is being compromised. They kept on calling for me on the lobby area to fix the issue while we were enjoying our meal. They made me call my bank to verify and my bank verified that the amount was already deducted. They keep on insisting for me to make a repayment and they were already being too unprofessional about it. I even escalated this matter to the Manager and an assistant manager assisted me onset and told me they'll fix it but went home before us checking out. They made me talk to the assistant manager over the phone to speak to him outside his shift. after hours of debate, they decided for me to sign a paper for acknowledgement that I have already paid for the food since I showed them my banking statement/transaction history and it is indeed deducted by their POS. While I was talking to their supervisor, my partner heard that the staffs were chit chatting and were laughing about what it seems to be our situation and I did not appreciate the level of unprofessionalism that me and my partner have experienced in our stay there. Came here about 5am and since this was near the bus terminal, we decided to stay here instead of going somewhere far. The staff in the morning was nice and very accomodating. ||Room is just average. It does have the basic amenities but of course you get what you pay for. Location is also fine as it is near to most eateries.||HOWEVER, on my departure day I decided to go and just get something printed out and I believe this guy is the bell captain based on the nametag. Jaypee his name? I’m not too sure and he was incredibily rude as he was just giving a sour face and speaking to his colleague in tagalog asking to get some money from me as I am wasting the ink. It was a blessing that I do understand tagalog but the supervisor who was printing it was very helpful and friendly. I would not mind paying for it if you knew how to ask nicely! I guess not everyone practises basic customer service but in my humble opinion it should be especially if you are working as front liners in any property you work for, from 5 star hotels to budget. ||Anyways, kudos to the rest of the team who were very accomodating...

We decided to book here since this is one of the budget hotels near the event that we were attending to the next day. We just need a room where we can sleep and dress up. Looking at their page it looks decent and nice. Before coming here we called several times to confirm if they have a hair dryer, the operator confirmed that they do. When we got there we ask again if there’s hair dryer and they told us yes but it is for request, hence we requested for one but they told us there’s no available hair dryer at the moment and that they’ll bring one if they get a hold of one. We have requested multiple times throughout our stay but to no avail I didn’t get to use hair dryer so I have to get up really early to air dry my hair before ironing it. Additionally, when we came in the room, it reeks cigarette. The bed is really hard and the blankets and towels have stains in it. Worst thing is the toilet is clogged!!!!
