It was OK for a night, but there was only one shower / toilet on the floor downstairs, and one toilet upstairs. Our "deluxe double room" was a simple small room with a bed, an AC and a TV - no windows. The bedsheets and towels were smelling extremely strong after a parfume that must have been used for washing, we both got headache from the smell. The AC turned itself on and off during the night and was programmed on 25 degrees, which was a bit too cold for us during the night but we couldn't change the temperature. The shower head is a joke. However, the whole hotel is very clean. Free water refills and free breakfast (two toasts with butter and egg plus tea or coffee) was good. They have a nice little terrace (all outside tables were full of ants however) and a nice entry area with a hammock. Wifi is working well. The owner was very friendly and called our pick up van company as they didn't show up. They also offer to book tours and excursions...
Read moreOrange Mangrove is a very comfortable place with a very friendly and helpful staff. We got a room with 2 bunk beds and there was space for the both of us. The toilet and shower are combined, but as long as you put the toilet cover down you should be fine. Hot water is provided (took a bit for us to figure out the heater) and there was a great air conditioner. Even though the room didn't have a working TV or a window, we were in the Philippines and did not plan on staying in the room often. It was a clean and comfortable sty for those traveling on a budget. Breakfast was delicious every morning (sometimes toast, bacon, and eggs and other times an omelet). The have a beautiful deck and a hammock in the lobby. It was quiet and right in the city. We loved our stay and here and would recommend it to those who are not looking for luxury but want to be comfortable wile exploring a...
Read moreSo my flight got in very late (10:30 PM), and I checked into this property to discover that the room for my three night stay did not have a bathroom in the room. The shower and toilet was a facility out I. The hallway shared by several other rooms. ||It was too late to do anything about it that night as they were full, but I was told maybe in the morning. As I read the room’s description, I could find no mention of a shared bathroom. Moreover, there was a reference to a balcony, so I rightfully assumed my room would have a window.. Silly Rabbit, what were you thinking? That balcony was of course a communal one, and you were on the ground floor in a cave of a room.||Needless to say, I checked out the next morning, and walked away from the other two nights of my stay. I tried to use the book platform to get a partial review, but they of course ignored their...
