Our first time staying at this fairly new hotel in Tacloban. Upon arrival we were greeted with friendly faces and big smiles. We arrived around 11:00 am and the receptionist allowed us to check in early which was a big relief after traveling by car for 3 hrs. Our room was very nice with a great big king size bed and spacious room. Our room was facing the Robinsons mall parking lot side. Very minimal noise during the day and very quiet after 10 pm. I was a little disappointed with the aircon because it had no remote control only a controller on the wall which was very confusing to use. The night was interrupted with trying to adjust it to right temperature with us finally shutting it off. The breakfast was nice but lacked many western foods like potatoes, sausages or pancakes. It looked more like something you would eat at lunch not breakfast. You did not eat in the same room with the served food but had to carry all your plates, glasses and coffee to an adjacent room. The swimming pool was fantastic! On the negative side the two pool boys that were working that day played music that THEY liked to listen too which consisted of loud RAP. Cursing and swear words being sung so all the children could hear. I told them to turn it off but after 15 minutes they turned it back on. Definitely not cool! They offered pool towels but you could not leave the pool area with them. So, you had to walk into a cold hallway and elevator with wet clothes on if you do not bring your own towels from the room. I would have given this hotel a five star but I believe they have some improvement for the high price of the cost to stay there.

My family and I stayed at the Summit in Tacloban. Checked in and were able to get in our rooms. Noticed that they do not provide towels, you have to ask for it. They don’t even answer their phone line. When I go downstairs to front desk there’s only one guy and he’s assisting one person. I asked the bell hopper to ask cleaning service for a towel. The water was working when we got in and then all of a sudden it stopped we called front desk again and no one answered so we went down and told them. Their elevator takes forever from our floor. The water was fixed but now our water is brown. The service is subpar. The location is great because you walk across to get to the mall

Our stay at Summit Hotel was nothing short of excellent. From arrival to departure, the service was warm, efficient, and truly accommodating. Special recognition goes to Justine Arabejo, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made a lasting impression on our team. She was always approachable and quick to respond, making coordination smooth and stress-free.||The rest of the staff were equally commendable—courteous, attentive, and genuinely committed to providing quality service. Every interaction felt sincere and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay.||The venue was superb. The function halls were spacious, well-ventilated, and ideal for both formal sessions and breakout activities. The rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable—perfect for rest after a full day of activities. We appreciated the attention to comfort and cleanliness.||Equally impressive was the food. Every meal served was flavorful, fresh, and well-portioned. The variety offered during our stay showed attention to both taste and nutrition.||Overall, Summit Hotel exceeded our expectations. The combination of excellent facilities, quality food, and outstanding staff—especially Justine—made our experience truly memorable. We are grateful and highly recommend Summit Hotel for future...

Not sure where to start. Check in wasn't to bad. Room was Premium King. Who ever heard of a room like that with a King bed and a twin bed?? Only items in bathroom for 3.. but 4 of us in room. Had to call housekeeping. They sent a guy to be sure I wasn't lying I guess. I asked at check in the hours for restaurant. Was told they closed at 8pm. We got there at 7:30pm after a movie and closed but door open. I talked to manager and from desk about them closing early. They finally sat us and food was ok. Except for my son's dinner. A hair in his burger. I showed to manager and he said, " it's not a hair". No sorry. No I'll replace the meal. No comp of the meal. Poorly manager. Plus, they add a 10% service charge but it's not mentioned on the menu. At least I get 15% off.. whoopie. Really 5% now. I read in reviews the breakfast you can buy with the room is a mix of mostly Filipino and Western food. Lol. No western and it's more of a lunch buffet. I went to go eat at restaurant and it's closed. Now opens at 11am. So.. I'll be hungry a while. Family went out to use pool.. OMG was the water filthy. Looks like filter never changed or the pool chemicals checked daily as it should be. There are black tiles around the pool .. 95% are loose and a potential serious injury can happen. Weeds and cigarette butts in planters around pool.. lack of...
