Overall Experience: My stay from September 10th was exceptional and truly highlighted by world-class service that made me feel valued as a guest. Despite one technical issue, the staff's performance was outstanding and is a significant credit to your hotel.
Outstanding Staff Recognition:
· Ian (Front Desk): My check-in was the smoothest I've ever experienced. Ian was incredibly efficient and went above and beyond to accommodate me despite the hotel being fully booked. His offer of a 1 pm late checkout at that time was a generous and welcome gesture. · Crisselle (Front Desk): At approximately 7 am this morning, I requested to extend my checkout to 2 pm. Crisselle was exceptionally helpful and gracious in approving this extension, for which I was very grateful. · Bellman & Security Team: I returned to the hotel in the early hours one morning and had a wonderful interaction with the bellman and security staff. They were incredibly pleasant and even allowed me to pet the dogs(Dog Handler Jack & Reymond), security Raf, Richard, Alphred, Rocky, Princepe, bellboy (Chester) who proactively brought out an umbrella cos I needed to go to the convenience store. It was a lovely icing on the service cake which was the granting of the extension as I was missing my own pets. Their hospitality at such a late/early hour was beyond impressive.
Special mention: Cheryl & Angelo (Front Desk): While I did not have direct business with them, their presence at the desk was always accompanied by a warm and welcoming smile. I truly appreciate this level of consistent, positive engagement.
Areas for Improvement:
· In-Room Technology: The only negative during my stay was the television. For a modern hotel, the fact that it is not a smart TV is a significant drawback and limits in-room entertainment options. Upgrading this amenity would greatly enhance the guest experience cos I usually mirror my screen to Samsung TVs abroad. Please send Aly for grooming, she looks so scruffy compared to the 2 Labradors Jackal and Enzo. Also, please cut down the doggy working hours. The look extremely exhausted when I return at the wee hours of the morning.
Final Thoughts: As a frequent traveler and PPS flyer, I have high standards for service. The team at Seda BGC delivers a level of hospitality that rivals, and even surpasses, that of many 5-star hotels, especially in Thailand, SEA, and Europe. The service is genuinely world-class. Thank you for a memorable stay.
Special mention to: Veanny, the breakfast host, for allowing me to share my breakfast entitlement, that I didn't not utilize for the 5 days I was living here, with a couple of elderly ladies who were waiting to check in. That exemplifies the heart of customer service I've not seen across the capitals of SEA, EU,...
Read moreWe booked 6 rooms about a year in advance, paid in full way in advance before our arrival, all booked under one name. To our disappointment ,only 3 of the rooms were in one floor in one building, the rest were booked in another building in separate floors. After dinner,I decided to ask kindly, for the front desk to explain how this happened.. one of the rooms unfortunately was for 2 of my grandsons, who got separated in another building. One of the managers at front desk heard the conversation, and immediately took action, and managed to get all rooms in one building.. but by then it was late in the evening, and my son and daughter decided to stay as is ,because everyone was tired and weary. But the big question is, why did it take asking again, when while we checked in the request was not granted.!? Prior to checking in at Seda BGC,we stayed in Makati Diamond, and Coast Boracay, both hotels gave us a warm welcome and exceptional service. I think Seda is manage under very rigid direction with no warmth and soul! Absolutely a big difference, in quality of service. The employees are always apologetic,”I am sorry is very much used” but I felt it’s routine.. There were many more incidents, that were not good, but my intention is to share our experience,so management can make some improvements.Seda being managed by Ayala Group, certainly can afford to train their staff, basic knowledge of location of the hotel in relation to the streets nearby. The cleanliness of bathrooms.. the tiled walls in the bathroom and caulking around the toilets could be cleaned. A little basic understanding of families travelling together will appreciate kindness, I think this now lacking,in Seda.Management should take a closer look to make Seda be worth its ranking, one excuse I heard, was its mostly for business people, but the lobby and restaurant, shows, mostly families with children, young couples, dressed casually, of course, the Philippines is a very warm country. There is an exception,a staff in the restaurant gave us an exceptional service, and kindness,Dan Hamor., Dan was helping clearing tables, attending to staff and guests while making sure things are running smoothly. The food has a big selection, and very tasty. The above is a wish that management will do something to improve the attitude and service. Thank...
Read moreLocation: Walking distance to Bonifacio High Street, SM Aura Mall, Uptown Mall, etc. Lots of F&B establishments in the immediate vicinity Safe and clean neighbourhood
Room: Overall clean, decent-sized rooms Deluxe and Club rooms are quite similar in layout and furnishing; with Club Rooms having access to the Club Lounge Suite while bigger, felt dated and didn’t feel as nice/luxurious as the Deluxe/Club rooms Wife found the pillows a bit uncomfortable Amenities (TV, Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, etc.) are alright
Bathroom: Spacious and clean Water pressure and temperature are alright Some fixtures were loose (e.g. a towel hook, the shower bar, etc.) Toilet had bidet Service: Staff generally very friendly and helpful
Facilities: Fitness center was decent, features some Life Fitness equipment; pool was medium sized, had nice shaded areas
Food and Dining: Breakfast buffet can be packed Buffet spread had nice variety, including local favorites like tocino, etc. Club Lounge had a smaller variety for breakfast, which I preferred as its less crowded and food was decent (quality vs quantity )
Value for Money: Great value for money, not too expensive compared to other luxury offerings in the area
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Hotel premises generally clean Some wear and tear in some rooms; some rooms look/feel dated
Accessibility: Parking can be challenging when the hotel is full
Security: Key card access, in-room safe We felt safe within the hotel premises and even within the surrounding neighborhood
Overall Experience: Generally happy with the stay/experience Highlight of the stay was the Club Lounge, better than my past experience with other club lounges
Recommendations:
Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers Book a Club Room! The Club Lounge serves breakfast (6-10am), afternoon tea (2-4pm) and evening cocktails (6-8pm, kids not allowed, food variety and quality were nice), for those days when you just want to stay in the hotel
Time of Stay: Stayed in Dec 2023 and...
