We choose this hotel thinking we’d have our very first family experience here jn BGC . From reading the reviews to watching social media videos we wanted to come here to the F1 Hotel. They gave us a room with nothing but the loud noise of construction (see attached video) we reported it to front desk and they told us they would come up to see proof of the noise . That’s when I realized the second they questioned our needs of our room that this was gona be unwelcoming. We are paying customers which took 5 months to plan and stay at this hotel . This is very upsetting coming from a prestigious hotel . Now second thing happen to us is when we woke up our daughter found a pillow with heavy bodily fluid stains (blood) . (See picture) it was even on the outside of the pillow , how do you miss a thing like that ! It questions if these rooms is even clean and sanitized to spec. Look at the pic it don’t even look like the pillow was even ever cleaned! Very disappointed ! Now 2 other pillows have it upon inspecting. This is very unacceptable! How do they do such a thing to us and release a room with bio hazard on it ?! I have 2 kids a 4 year old and a 8 month . Now we have to get checked to make sure they weren’t exposed to any bio hazardous bodily fluids that will harm their health . This is our health I’m talking about ! There are no rooms for any mistakes when it comes to my children or in general any children’s health . We are beyond disappointed & disgusted with this room serviced . The help and power of social media TikTok , IG , YT & etc will help other travelers not make the same mistake when choosing F1 Hotel Manila BGC. 32nd Street, corner Lane A, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila Update. Only thing they did was send someone to replace the one pillow. How does this fix anything not considering if we were exposed to anything biohazardous . I had to go down to front desk to actually show them videos and pictures for me to get their full attention. So they going to get us another room a few hours wait time . Now because of this whole issues we loose time to take the kids out . Like any other vacationer everything is planned and scheduled now we loose time we can’t have back . Months of planning and for f1 hotel to push back and cancel some of our personal family plans . If we had known this will happen to us things would’ve gone a different route . Thankfully St Luke’s hospital is across and were gona do walk in check up . 5 months of saving up and planning for this to ruin part of the family trip .

This review was made by someone who stayed at the hotel for a total of 90 Nights. I have stayed at this hotel for 3 months, paid by my company. There has been SO many issues with this hotel, so much so that, for the price you pay, it makes no sense to go here. I have told my company to never book this hotel again in future. Some of the issues I faced from most severe to least severe: 1. Housekeeping / General Services: Very slow, does not follow instructions, and sometimes just flat out ignores you. I usually leave for work and have the housekeeping make my room while I am away, but on Weekends, it is impossible to get them to make up the room. I left my room at 9AM, left the sign outside to get room cleaned, even called room service asking them to clean the room, and came back at 11AM, still havent cleaned the room. No matter. I called reception AGAIN, asking to make up the room. AGAIN. Came back at 12.30, still uncleaned. At this point I just cleaned the room myself, I dont even know why we paid for a hotel and not just rent an apartment. I left at 1pm only then room service came knocking at the door asking if I needed the room cleaned. From 9AM to 1PM, they couldnt come clean my room. A "4 star" hotel. I've done a fair share of travelling, and even a 2-star hotel in Myanmar I went in 2017 has better and faster service. 2. Cleanliness Worst part of the above issue? The "cleaning" that room service does is not even proper. They often just rush things and never actually clean anything properly. Rooms are often left at a unclean state. 3. Sewage smell Despite complaining, for 3 months, there never was a solution to the bathroom having a constant "sewage" smell. I had to buy Fresheners to make the bathroom smell tolerable. 4. Elevators are terrible Despite having 4 Elevators, only 3 consistently worked. And I dont know how the elevators were designed, but firstly, your room key card has to be scanned to get to your floor. But it never works. I had to have my room key changed because it randomly stopped working 4 separate times. At one point, I had 5 cards on me just because they kept giving me new cards. Also, even when your card works, elevators take 5 years to arrive. I have no idea why the elevators are so slow. 5. WiFi is unstable Need I elaborate? WiFi is incredibly unstable. I was disconnected from important conference calls multiple times while using the hotel WiFi.

F1 Hotel BGC is in an excellent location, conveniently close to a grocery store, hospital, High Street, and plenty of shopping and service outlets. This makes it a great choice for those who want easy access to essentials and leisure spots. One of the highlights of our stay was the friendly staff—they always greeted us warmly whenever we passed by, which added a welcoming touch. However, the rooms were just okay. A major downside for me was the bathroom design—the shower would leak water into the rest of the space due to a short ledge, causing water to pool and drain slowly. It was a bit of a hassle to deal with. Additionally, the turndown service was average—while the basics were done, small details were overlooked. Used coffee mugs and plates were left behind instead of being replaced, and only the bathroom trash bin was given a new plastic bag. The livingroom table was also not wiped down, we had to buy a set of disinfecting wipes during our strolls. As for the facilities, the hotel is clearly older, which shows in some areas. The TVs are not smart TVs, relying solely on cable. The elevators were painfully slow, sometimes taking 7-10 minutes to arrive—likely due to how packed the hotel was during our stay. Gym was small. Half way through our workout, groups of guest started to come in and it was a tight space for all of us to do our workout. It was fairly clean. Only 2 disinfecting sprays were provided and had to be passed around to other guest. Breakfast was just okay—the selection remained the same throughout our stay, and refills took a while (or never came at all). One of the best parts of our experience was the bar. Jeffery was fantastic, showing great attention to detail and making us feel welcome. As balikbayans, we had a lot of questions of what has changed and where to enjoy other restaurants & bars, and he was more than happy to chat with us, making our experience even more enjoyable. His service and hospitality really stood out! Overall, F1 Hotel BGC has a prime location and friendly staff, but some aspects of the stay—like room maintenance, bathroom design, and outdated amenities—could use improvement. It’s a decent option if you value convenience, but don’t expect luxury-level service.

My brother’s family lives in Taguig, so I was hoping F1 would be our “home away from home” for when my husband and I visit the Philippines. Unfortunately, my stay at the hotel has been a huge disappointment, for a number of reasons:

  1. When I arrived, I was asked to wait around the lobby for 30 to 45 minutes as my room was “not yet ready”. It was almost 6 pm when I tried to check in. As my sister-in-law had to feed her baby, they gave us a “temporary room” while we continue to wait for my room - which was an hour wait. Not really sure why my room wasn’t ready considering it was already so late when I was checking in.

  2. Probably my main issue during my stay - the lack of wifi in my room. I have reported it several times, and was told that they were "looking into it" and that they had asked their IT to sort it out, etc. I was very patient but after two and a half days of no wifi and incurring charges on data roaming because F1 had been indirect and unreliable, I decided to express my disappointment and frustration with the unresolved wifi issue. I was then offered to transfer to a smaller room with wifi, which I wasn’t too keen on as they had already tried putting me in one of their “residence” rooms (which only had a smaller window and made me feel claustrophobic, it also didn't feel like a hotel). I ended up just buying a sim card and paying for internet because there was no wifi in my room - it cost me an extra $100 to have internet in the Philippines.

  3. I tried using their gym facility on my 2nd day, but because it was right next to the spa, the gym was on one of the hottest floors in the building. They do not leave the A/C on but will only turn it on when someone wants to use it - which makes no sense as it takes a long time for the room to get cool enough to use. I was convinced that their A/C was broken (or just incredibly weak) and it was taking forever cool the room for me to use. I asked the hotel for assistance and they just asked me to wait some more. Huge waste of time. Oh and one of their treadmills was broken.

  4. As I was staying on my own for 5 nights, I was hardly using the complimentary breakfast for two. On day 3, my sisters joined me for breakfast and I asked if I could use one of the complimentary breakfasts for my guests. F1 insisted that it is not allowed and they’ll have to charge me P880 for my extra person. Mind you, breakfast buffet was 6 to 10 in the morning, and we only really had 15 minutes left of the buffet. I ended up paying P880, and we were told it was “last call” for the breakfast and they have actually already stopped replenishing the food when we started. Just couldn't believe they wouldn't let me apply my complimentary breakfast from other days especially since we only had 15 minutes left and the food was so limited as it wasn't being replenished.

  5. The pool was under maintenance (for 9 hours) during my stay. It was also under maintenance on the day I had a friend staying over with her kid who had wanted to use the pool. I would have appreciated being notified about it early so I could have worked around it.

The room was nice enough and the facilities were clean. Bed was nice and comfy with huge pillows. Staff were friendly, especially the bell boy who transferred me twice (he refused to accept the second time I tried to tip him in one day, which I thought was sweet). With all the issues I’ve had, the staff were nice about it and apologetic. But I wish there were less apologies and more things working. Perhaps they need to look into managing the hotel better in order to be able to deliver the services...
