This was my first time staying at Brittany Hotel BGC, located in Taguig City, and it came recommended by a friend. I found a very reasonable rate on Agoda—just SGD 280 for a 2-night stay—so I decided to give it a try. For the price, it was definitely good value.
Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently situated across SM Aura and close to many places in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), which was ideal since most of my errands were in the area.
The lobby and reception area are nicely done—modern interiors with lots of indoor plants, and there's a cozy café on-site. Check-in and checkout were both fast and hassle-free. The staff were helpful and polite throughout my stay.
The room itself was spacious and clean, especially considering the affordable rate. I appreciated the fresh linens, well-kept bathroom, complimentary bottled water, and full toiletries. The room also included standard amenities like a TV, mini fridge, and in-room safe.
One notable detail was the view from my window: on one side, the peaceful Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, and on the other, a densely packed informal settlement just outside the glitz of BGC. This contrast is quite common in Metro Manila—where upscale developments often sit right beside underprivileged communities—which adds a layer of realism and complexity to the area’s character.
The hotel features several dining outlets. I had breakfast at "Tea 4 Two" café. The staff were warm, but the salad I ordered was quite average. The coffee was okay, though the loud mechanical noise from a nearby escalator made it hard to enjoy a relaxing meal.
Their fitness center was spacious and had basic equipment, and it wasn’t crowded. However, it lacked ambiance and had no air-conditioning during my visit, which made it uncomfortable to use—probably the least inviting hotel gym I've seen so far.
The elevator system was a bit confusing at first; perhaps it's just a matter of getting used to the layout. The air-conditioning in the room was also quite noisy, which made it hard to sleep—I ended up turning it off at night.
Overall, it was a decent stay and fair for the price I paid. I wasn’t expecting luxury at this rate, so I can’t be too critical. Still, I believe the hotel has great potential if they improve a few things: the air-conditioning, gym facilities, and noise control in the café. With its prime location and welcoming staff, it could easily stand out more in the BGC...
Read moreWe stayed at the hotel for a week. We stayed at Brittany hotel after watching a video(YouTube) about it and it was a fairly new building so we thoughtwhy not try it!. We were given a room on the 17th floor which I think that level was not completely finished. That floor gave the vibe and smell of an empty warehouse that was left unattended for several months. Unfortunately our bathroom smelled like old piping, everytime we went back to our room we had to open the door to air it out, they did put an electric diffuser on the corridor on our 2nd night. Some pros and cons: Pros: Hotel was built 2023. Location is excellent, directly in font of SM aura Good security and staffs Room was decent size, clean and have the regular 4 star hotel amenities like bathrobes, sandals toothbrush and etc. Water pressure is excellent Cons: The building is not completely finished Our room had an old piping smell everyday Hotel service is sub standard for a 4 star -Unfortunately on our 2nd day...the power went out for a while, had to use the stairs going to breakfast which was not a big deal except the stairs look like they were forgotten when they were putting the finishing touches on the building...it was dark(no emergency lights?). Breakfast was ok...not the best but maybe because there was no electricity to heat up the food that was on display. On the 3rd day, no WiFi for almost the whole day (now, is that really a big deal? Maybe not 100% but if you advertised as a high end hotel then I'm assuming that you have contingencies for situations like no power and no wifi! Food was not the best( maybe due to no power so they could not heat up the food that was on the display) we did not return for any of the breakfast during our stay. Overall verdict (just my verdict and my experience) This hotel has plenty of potential! It is not a bad choice considering you are staying in BGC but with that said my experience was not the best specially if I compare it to Seda where we...
Read moreThis is the first time we stayed here. I thought they were connected with Dusit Hotel in Makati but I think they’re not. We booked the hotel via one of their agents but unfortunately we had a problem with our booking we already paid for our room and when we got there they advised us that they are fully booked. My husband got aggravated because we were already expecting that we’ll have our staycation and we cannot contact the agent that booked us. She wasn’t answering our calls and text. ||Good thing one of their leasing staff was there who assisted us and gave us a room we booked a 1 BR suite room (we were reserved for a Studio unit) but decided to book a bigger room because the studio unit was not ready yet. ||The place needs a lot of improvement they are still new that’s why I understand that there are some hiccups. Check in time wasn’t good at all we were able to check in at 5 PM already but gave us complimentary late check out. Staffs were pleasant and service were good. Unfortunately they don’t have a phone that will connect you with the reception so you’ll have to go down to ask for something even the wifi password. Wifi was fast. Tv does not have cable you can only watch local channels. Pool at the roofdeck was awesome! Its very cold! Its one my favorite place in the hotel its overlooking BGC. One thing I didn’t like was the CR/Shower room at the pool area is kind of dirty and smells bad. You should do something about it.||Hotel is located just beside SM Aura so you can definitely do some shopping and groceries when you get bored. Its so nice to walk around BGC it feels that you’re not in Manila. There are a lot of good restaurants around the area. The place has its own parking that’s why its free.||Given how affordable the place is I will definitely go back...
