I've always been a CBTL fan, a regular customer. It was my first time here at Bonifacio High St branch and i was very disappointed with how you approach your customers. A young morena chubby girl with long brown hair and bangs took my order with irritation. I was availing the free upsize and since i dont have my vaxcard with me i told her a picture of it na lang sa phone. And she told me in a very offensive manner that i should have the vaxcard with me. I mean.. it would have been okay if she won't honor it and I would still proceed with my order. She doesnt have to call me out that badly and told me that all establishments need the vaxcard. Of course, who wouldnt know that, everybody knows it.. tho i didnt told her too that i just came in from one of the restos and ate there with the same vaxcard copy in my phone. I simply told her na other branches honors it pero its fine din naman if not. She was adamant about it with attitude. I have been a long time Cbtl consumer and yet this is the first time ive experienced this kind of treatment, bad customer service experience.
The worst CBTL shop out of all.
I would advise that you would change your approach with your customers. The mask doesn't show your whole facial expression but your eyes, eyebrows, your way and tone of voice and actions says it...
Read morePrime location on Bonifacio High Street with solid two-level seating and comfortable atmosphere. Good spot for coffee meetings or laptop work.
Food & Drinks: I asked if they have iced tea without sugar, but they only carry sweetened iced tea: disappointing if you’re diabetic and trying to watch sugar intake or being mindful about calories. Partner's Strawberry Dream and pasta were solid (8/10) - though pasta was clearly microwaved. My iced black coffee hit the mark (7/10). 615 pesos all together.
The catch: Limited food availability. Two menu items were "out of stock" despite being displayed - frustrating when you're ready to order.
Service & Wifi: Fast, friendly staff made up for the inventory issues. Strong wifi (87 down/1.7 up) - just ask the cashier for the password.
Bottom line: Reliable for drinks and basic food, just don't count on getting your first menu choice. It would be nice to have iced tea without sugar option: it’s not that hard to mix in simple syrup if somebody wants sugar in their beverage. The location, workspace vibe, and solid internet make it worth the visit for...
Read moreThe worst coffee bean branch we've ever been to. My friend asked for non-fat milk and two packets of sugar to be blended with her drink and the barista answered: "Meron naman po dun sa tabi." ("They're [packs of sugar] at the corner.") Whereas all other branches of CBTL do this for customers when requested, this branch's barista - Gavs - is adamant. Then, we had trouble paying with Gcash and instead we ended up paying with cash. A few minutes later, the Gcash confirmation came and I asked the lady barista (this one is friendly and okay) if we could get the money back. She confirmed with Gavs but he was very disinterested - did not even answer the nice lady barista. The lady barista had to explain to me that Gavs will just finish other transactions before getting back to us, after which I thanked her.
This is a great example of the wrong way to start one's day -- find an unfriendly barista to give you your morning coffee... Not even CBTL's delicious choco banana muffin will fix the negativity after interacting with this person.
