We stayed in this hotel (Express Krakow Hotel) in December, family of 4. Expectations were low as this is a budget hotel and we only needed a sleepover. I accept the dirty floor and outdated furniture (you get what you pay) But what I don’t accept is the worms in the toilet. My youngest daughter jumped scared and shouting when she saw moving warms in the toilet, cleaning lady was bringing us some bathrobes and I showed the worms to her- surprisingly she was not surprise, said some words in polish (didn’t understand English) flushed the toilet and left with a smile. So I went to reception and showed the video to a girl with glasses, explaining the situation- she said she’d call someone to “look” at it, as nobody showed up few hours later I went down to reception again and this time there was a guy there, I showed video again and asked if this was normal- surprisingly he laughed and said that it’s common but they are not harmful..advised to flush all the water from the toilet..which I did but the worms kept coming back- as it was late, we were tired and just needed rest we spend the worst time in any hotel ever- afraid to get infected..AVOID

Definitely not 4 stars. rooms are nice, but each is with withdraws: windows are not opening, something is broken or a huge piece of carpet is damaged right at the entrance. Some of the staff people are nice and ready to help, but the other half is impolite and looks tired of guests. the food is really bad and always the same (some not good for a week+ staying). Pretty far from the city next to a huge highway: so it is dusty and noisy. At least one star should be deleted. the location is horrible, internet connection is unstable most of the time, the food is bad, the staff is nice twice in 10 times. rooms do not have blankets for more than one person. and a cherry on the top on Friday night it was a private party, so walls and bed 2 floors above where shaking from the bass of the music. when I called the reception to check if it possible at least to make it down, they told me that it is impossible and the party is till 4 am. dear hotel management, please figure out your positioning: either you are a hotel with a 4-star relevant hospitality, or a night club with bad sound proof. do not stay here more than 1 night in a huge need!

Really average experience. The room was very far from being clean. There was dried green discharge in the sink from somebody’s mouth. Stains etc. the breakfast was average and very cheaply done. Swimming pool closed, when asked at reception they wanted me to knock on doors around swimming pool for sbdy to open which I did, nobody was there. They promised to come and open but after 30 min of waiting nobody showed up. On the paper hotel looks ok, but once inside it is not great. Would say it’s more like 3 rather 4 stars hotel. So far my worst hotel experience (not terrible, but definitely not great). And one more, on the website it says that rooms are quite and isolated. It is for sure not the case with this one. Could hear people from surrounding rooms and noise from the ventilation in or outside the building which prevented me from having good sleep. Snow not cleared on the path making it impossible for disabled to access. It looks like the hotel is heavily understaffed. On the plus side the internet seems to be fine. The staff was pleasant.

The biggest problem with this hotel is the staff's attitude... They make you feel as if you are an annoyance to them. They turn lights down before the breakfast has officially finished as if to say "leave now" and when asked to turn the lights back up, they reply "oh, you cannot see, can you?!" - shocking!!! They don't make eye contact and have a terrible manner and walk around with a scowl. I think the more experienced staff/floor managers do a great disservice to the younger members of the team by discouraging hospitable behaviour (e.g. telling them to ignore a guest's request to refill a juice machine because "breakfast is finishing in 5 minutes anyway"... so who cares about the paying guests, right?!). Housekeeping is a joke as they either don't turn up or create an illusion of having been there (e.g. folding a wet towel and placing it as if it was fresh, not replacing dirty glasses). The interior of the hotel rooms is dated (shabby wallpaper, bathroom fan and the fridge not working), but I guess you could live with that if the staff were welcoming and friendly - they really are not (with an exception of one receptionist and a chap behind the bar - the rest just need a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror; they are clearly unhappy about something but taking it out on their guests is...

This was booked as part of a package and I’m fairly sure the hotel markets ITSELF as a four star hotel, which I can assure you it is not! Perhaps it would have been in the 1960’s, but certainly not now. It is clean, and the staff are….efficient but not friendly. The room is very, VERY, tired, as is the rest of the hotel. It looks like it could do with some investment to update the decor (actual bleach stain across the carpet would have had other hotels replacing the carpet immediately). The beds are very comfortable for us but could be a little hard for some. We booked a queen double however, it was two single beds pushed together without them being secured together. Playing pop goes the weasel at 3 am is not fun when the beds drift apart and we disappear down the gap!!!! Breakfast is varied but with many things most would not want to eat, the boiled carrots and broccoli were a particular highlight! It’s a very basic hotel and would suit many on a very restricted budget positioned not far from the places people want to visit. Decent transport links into the old town position the hotel in a good place and if the owners were to invest the money and time it could be a great place to base yourself for a visit to Krakow. Overall, I wouldn’t...

This hotel is not 4 stars. Not worthy of one star. On arrival we were spoken to with the worst manners i have ever experienced, zero customer services. It shows pictures of a different hotel in their advertising. The pictures are of a hotel across the carpark called the premier. They don't have a pool and it is dark and dinghy. Room was not cleaned all week, strong smell of cigarettes. No amenities and no fridge in room. Can only buy a drink at certain times of the day at the other hotel across the carpark. Food was not great, but nowhere else to eat within walking distance. Again no restaurant at hotel and had to go to other hotel to eat, even for your breakfast that we paid for as part of the stay through the express hotel. Staff were rude when questioned about pool; that didn't exist. I was then told we could use the pool at other hotel but there was a charge. Room cards did not work, so we couldn't get in our room. Went to reception to sort the situation, where I was told by staff it was my fault. Said I must of had them near my phone. This was not the case. This hotel is a joke and the staff are awful. Krakow is gorgeous so don’t let this review put you off visiting, but do not use this hotel. It will ruined...
