Amazing small museum, former home of namesake artist Jose Malhoa. Very kind staff, 1.50 Euro entry for seniors. Beautiful sculptures, delightful views. We parked on a side street behind the museum. The large wrought iron gate was ajar, the gardens gone wild. A bit decrepit, the way I like it. Unfound, private a gem in the rough. We entered and walked the gravel.path to the right. It is a switchback, so the walk is fairly long downhill. If we had walked straight ahead we would have seen a root path straight down. We easily navigated it on our way up and back to our car, saving us the switchback steps. The museum itself a delight in 19th and 20th century art. Polished wood floors, seating, very comfy. I love bathrooms so if course I was happy to discover one level down hidden doorways the ladies further down the corridor on the left. You must search for it. The sign is small. Upon entering you are overwhelmed in a sea of Orange. For lovers of orange...
