Pena D'Água Boutique Hotel & Villas — Hotel in Covilhã

Me and my family have spent a few days, over Christmas, at the lovely Boutique Hotel Pena D'Água, in Covilhã. Our experience was absolutely amazing, in every way. The building, the beautiful decor, the delicious breakfast, the spa, the bar, the coziness ... not to mention the five star Christmas eve dinner at their restaurant Açafrão, where everything was just so perfect. The food was better than some of the most expensive restaurants, combined with the decor, the ambiance and the service, with such an attention to detail. But what really made it all the more special was the staff. Although they were all very friendly and professional, I can sincerely say that me and my family have never met anyone as incredibly friendly, efficient, genuine and kind as Francisco and Nuno. They went above and beyond all our expectations and we were amazed at their availability to cater to our needs, considering that we also had our puppy with us. We have been to several hotels but we have never come across anyone quite like them and they helped make our stay an unforgetable experience. We spent 3 days over Christmas at Pena D’Água and the experience was magical! It was our 2nd time staying and this time we brought our family & puppy to spend Christmas at this lovely hotel. On the first night, my husband couldn’t sleep because of noise from a leak in the bathroom, and the next day we were promptly upgraded to a better room. We had Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Açafrão, which in our opinion, was better than some Michelin Star meals we have had. The attention to detail, the quality of the food, the service… everything was incredible. The coziness of the hotel and friendliness of the staff is unmatched. The team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was super special. A special thank you to Francisco and Nuno for making our stay so incredibly pleasant. Their professionalism and kindness made all the difference! Also, if you want a relaxing massage during your stay, we highly recommend Margarida, she’s amazing!
