Blue Door Lagos — Hotel in Lagos

Had a wonderful stay at Blue Door Lagos with my partner. We got the fire room (double room with ensuite) which was clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Every morning Simao would provide a wonderful breakfast selection. Myself and my partner are vegan and he catered wonderfully for our dietary requirements. Simao also went above and beyond to give us great advice on things to do around the town, restaurants and cafes to visit, and activities to do. The self catering facilities were great with cupboard and fridge space, utensils and a seating area. Super helpful to make lunch and dinners as we were on a budget. The location is good, only a short walk from the city centre and a manageable walk to 2-3 different beaches. I would highly recommend this...

Blue Door is a charming B&B located just outside the city center of Lagos (10 minutes on foot). Rooms are very small but modern and clean, although you should note that for some of them, the bathroom is separate and you have to leave the room and walk a couple of meters down the common area to get there. Owner Simao is very nice and helpful. He will recommend you a couple of restaurants he certainly has a deal with but also give you precious tips on Lagos and its surroundings. Breakfast is the cherry on the cake: just awesome! Meine Freundin und ich verbrachten im Zuge unserer Portugalreise 4 Nächte im Blue Door Lagos.||Zimmer:|Wir hatten das Zimmer mit eigenem Bad. Es war sehr sauber und wird bei Bedarf jeden Tag von den Mitarbeiterinnen gereinigt. Das Zimmer ist für zwei Reisende mit zwei Koffern deutlich zu klein, es gibt nicht ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten im Zimmer. Die Einrichtung ist sehr spartanisch und auf das aller nötigste beschränkt. Das Zimmer und die gesamte Unterkunft strahlen aus unserer Sicht leider keine Wohlfühlatmosphäre aus und ähneln eher einem Hostel. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist daher aus meiner Sicht nicht passend, das haben wir in unserer Portugalrundreise (7 Stationen) deutlich anders erlebt.||Frühstück & Service:|Wir haben das Frühstück einmal in Anspruch genommen. In der Früh wird jedem ein Plastiktablett zugewiesen auf welchem man das Frühstück zu einem Platz auf der Dachterasse oder im Innenbereich transportieren kann. Auch hier muss ich leider sagen, dass deutlich Luft nach oben ist, der Systemgedanke und die nicht ansprechenden Plastiktabletts versprühen keinerlei Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Ungenießbarer Pulverkaffee und ein liebloses Buffet haben uns insgesamt dazu veranlasst das Frühstück an 3 von 4 Tagen auszulassen. |Die Mitarbeiter waren insgesamt sehr freundlich und hatten auch gute Tipps bzgl. Restaurants und Stränden.||Lage:|Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr positiv. Nur 5 Gehminuten von der Altstadt und damit einigen guten Cafés und Restaurants entfernt. Darüber hinaus auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um andere Ziele in der Region zu erreichen.||Alles in allem ist aus meiner Sicht das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht stimmig und es fehlt an Wohlfühlatmosphäre, welche durch eine gemütliche und etwas hochwertigere Einrichtung erzielt werden könnte.
