Came here early morning at 11:30am and asked the waitress what time they opened as the chairs and tables were already outside. She told us that the kitchen opened at 1pm. We left and were going to come back at 1pm and as we explored the streets of Lagos, we stumbled upon the restaurant again at 12pm. At 12pm there were tables filling up and people drinking wine. My friend and I were confused because if the kitchen opened at 1pm, why was the waitress taking orders at 12? When the waitress saw us, I feel like you could tell they were kind of nervous to see us back again so soon with a restaurant already filling up. Therefore, I think the waitress lied to us to get us to just not eat there because they didn’t want to serve us. Poor customer service. Edited in response to the owner: We came back another night and the restaurant was packed. We came back another night so we came back for dinner, NOT lunch which the response from the owner is saying. I know lunch has no waiting list, we came at night. Yes, we came at night/ dinner a 2nd time and YES, it was the SAME waitress. I would know the waitress as I experienced BAD customer service, of course I REMEMBER her. To be dismissive and say I do not remember because they change staff is poor service. Back to the original review without my edits- The same waitress told us to just come back later instead of telling us to just wait outside. She said this to many people and we all just decided to wait outside for our turn. Seems like a better system than just leaving and coming back like she told everyone too? Poor customer service. I am reading reviews and the review right before me says they use a “waiting list”. If that is true, that was never made clear to us or the other guests who waited outside with us because the waitress simply said “just come back later”. There were only 3 pairs of guests including myself and a friend. Not sure why none of us were offered to be on the waiting list as I’ve seen the line much longer. Instead we all got told to just “come back later”. Because of their poor customer service even before eating, I would never want to dine in and eat at this establishment. Would suggest going to the other Italian restaurant nearby, as many other restaurants in Lagos have much more friendlier staff, even before you are seated and/or...

We waited in line quite a bit. We were expecting it so we didn't mind. They were very kind and brought everyone in line prosecco and wine. We started the line at about 1840-1845. We were seated at around 1950. We ordered a focaccia and the other main plates. The wait began. We had to wait an hour or more. My wife had ordered gluten free pasta. The waitress told us we had to wait because of her order (we didn't really understand why but ok) we asked her to bring the other plates. The other plates came around 2100 . My wife's plate came. It was quite bad. Mushrooms weren't cooked and there was no sauce. My wife asked for sauce to be added.the plate went back and was still quite bas. My wife politely went into the restaurant and send it back and told them we don't want it and that we want it changed. She told me that she did say "out of politeness" that we can pay for it. We ordered dessert and asked for the check. We noticed that we were charged for that pasta, and I told the waitress we don't want to pay for the plate we didn't eat. She said she will talk to the chef. She came back and said that although there's nothing wrong they will still not ask us for the plate. Which means that they wanted us to be in the wrong. So I was disappointed and frustrated and told her we can pay for everything even for the pasta we didn't eat.Saying that I was accused of being rude and all. So the night ended with a frustrating argument with a waitress who took everything personal. The food we had was good apart from my wife's plate . The...

Horrible customer service. We waited for 2 hours in line, which already brought us to a frustrating situation, especially seeing 2 of the waiters working so slow. We were 5 people, and the place is very small, and small tables, we told the waitress that we didn’t mind sitting apart, because was almost 22:00, and they passed 1 couple in front of us. She tried to help to make at least 2 of us to sit first, and the manager (I presumed), told her to not do this, that we should wait for the big table to leave and would take 5 minutes, but actually took around 15min. When we finally got to sit, the service was so slow.. we had to beg to the waiter to take the order, once he had already passed by us so many times, not even looking at us, and taking order of other table that arrived after us (that we noticed was a friend of someone from the staff). After ordering he took ages to bring the drinks, I had to ask the waitress for help to remember him about it. The food was good, mine was very nice (besides the big balls of black pepper), and it arrived rather quickly, so the only reason for being so slow and having such a big line of 2 hours is the extremely slow service. After waiting for 30 minutes, we didn’t want to risk to go to another place and wait for another 30minutes, but in the end we definitely made the wrong decision of staying in the line, any other place would have been faster. I just don’t think nothing justifies the 2 hours line + bad service, it was our worst...

Number 1 Italian spot in Lagos on trip advisor but I would have to kindly disagree!! The place is gorgeous, really rustic Italian feel to it, staff were all super helpful and attentive! If you dont like pasta al-dente make surw to ask them to cook it a little longer!! Food was presented amazingly as you can see from the pictures but it lacked the oomph I was expecting for the Number 1 spot!! I could honestly make comparible food at home however it might have just been the dishes we got as I could see everyone else thoroughly enjoying their food! For one I got the amatriciana(I think) with pork cheek and there was maybe 2 or 3 pieces of pork in it, otherwise the sauce was delicious and the pasta cooked q little al-dente for my liking it needed another 30 seconds in the water..came presented beautifully in the pan the cook it in! My partner ordered the Orecciette Alla Sorrentina with Burratta..again presented amazingly but the sauce was missing something and the pasta was even more al-dente than mine! All in all I would go again to give them a chance at redeeming themselves but I would try the lasagne and al forno dishes as they just looked much better!!

This was one the best places my fiancé and I had for dinner in Lagos!! Please keep in mind there are no reservations and they have a very limited seating. We would recommend not having bigger groups than 4 people when you go or be okay with all not sitting together. There is way more seats outside the restaurant than inside and there can be longer waits given the no reservations and limited space available. DO NOT LET THIS DISCOURAGE YOU! THE FOOD IS WORTH THE WAIT. My fiancé ordered the Cacio e Pepe and I ordered the Orecchiette and we both very much enjoyed our dishes! The portions were super big and they served all the pasta in the pan in which they are cooked in so if you are looking to split an entree with someone you both will have plenty to eat. Overall we would give Pomo and 8.3/10 The food was great, staff was very friendly and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was that of an old Italian corner store or almost like you were at your grandmas house. We both for sure would recommend this spot to anyone staying in Lagos.

We found this place by coincidence. Then we found out it was highly recommended by Trip Advisor. We stood in line for two hours on a Saturday night. While waiting the staff had to apologize for so many customers who were still flooding the place up to closing time. They are closed on Sundays and they close at 10 pm. The wait list process was super organized. They had a list in which customers added their names. The staff passed around some complimentary drinks for the people waiting, nice gesture!! We were happy to see the food was authentic Italian, delicious and worth the time waiting. The food we ordered was spaghetti basil and tomato sauce, taligatelle pesto sauce, orecchiette pasta with tomato and burrata. We loved our cheese and olives appetizers and focaccia. Our average er person was around 19 euros. Amazing value for money. Highly recommend it.
