Lisbon View Hostel — Hotel in Lisbon

RUN AWAY. ! Illegal immigrantes coud find better with social associations ! And no illegal immigrant... have really no reason to risk their health there. ||||I am a frequent traveller and I lived in Lisbon during several years. I already did several dormitory, saw very cheap places, etc... The point is: I know I hadn't paid for a palace but I didn't expect to find this kind of hostels in europa. ||||1)Localisation: lost far away in a dark street. Even the entrance is not very clear. (But I had a rented car so it didn't really matter for me)||2) Everything is narrow, old, dusty and cheap. But again: okay, i told me I was paying little so it was ok. ||Bad impression : for having known it sometimes in strange place in Lisbon, there was a very nice FONGUS smell in the main corridor, what was already not very a good impression. Already sign of bad cleaning.||The commun places looks really narrow and dirty. All seems like a refugee place, really... ||3)Room: double bed (I took the "best" room available because I had some material with me) with the window behind. What means... the windows is blocked by the bed so forget the windows, it is not here in the room. It is just for having it written in booking.com. It looks like a prison place actually. But okay... until here everything was in my mind "it's cheap, worth it".||Until... I have checked the bed...Really poor and thin blankets okay. BUT NOT WHITE AT ALL. some stranges colors stains let by the previous clients. Down the "blanket", there were some little coton/wool deposite, maybe the rest of the socks of the previous clients? No washing smell or anything of course. Just the fongus smell in the corridor. Now afraid, I have checked under the bed for sign of little traveller's bugs, nice and friendly little animal which like so much dirty travelling places... Not found d but suddently with a doubt, I have checked tripadvisor and I read some clients had some bugs in their bed less than one months ago... I went away...Don't want to take some back with me from my travel. ||||I looked for the reception women: not here anymore. (the reception open only when you and she are here at the same predefinite time) I have send 3 emails to her to check-out: never had an answer back.||Finally:||4) Price: This was the only one argument for choosing this place. Should have been 28euros the single double bed single room. A fair price for a last minute booking. Could have be but with these conditions and the sanitary risk there is there, even 5 euros seems to much...||To know: The payment doesn't allow cancellation. Seems they already know some people are going to run away. And the ask a deposit of 10 euros for the very simple key they give. And don't answer for the check-out... Really seems they know the people will never return after seeing the room. ||||Sumery: The place SHOULD BE CLOSEDfor sanitary and human condition's...

First, i was think got a good deal, it looks on the map quiet close to city center, but let me tell you why its not cheap:||1. Place not close to the center, nearest transportation is bus, and end after 12, so if you go back later u have to pay a lot for taxi. Even if you not back late, u need at least 2 bus to get city center, 2€ each bus, so go and back at least add more 8€ per day||2. You have to pay extra 4€ tax when u arrive|3. If you arrive early, have to pay extra 5€ for early checkin, and when i asked the receptionist named Luis he didn’t let me even stay in the lobby, he said u have go out and come back at 2pm for check-in||3. Services is poor, i sent a request early checkin but no response, finally after make a deal as the receptionist Luis told me give him good review and mention his name he will let me to the room, but after went to the room, he changed his mind and want to charge, as he keep 10€ for key deposit and he wanna take 5€ from there, but i fight for it and say NO, when u do business, u made a deal with customer cannot just change your mind like that.||4. The bed is dirty, no socket next to your bed so be aware if u wanna use ur fone before go to sleep difficult, socket somewhere else not next to ur bed (only one dorm bed in the room next to the socket)||5. The receptionist Luis even not speak English at all||After all its NOT CHEAP, find somewhere else in the city centre where walking distance, little bit more money not too much , but you save a lot of on transportation believe me, and the cheating...

Our visit at this hostel was a complete nightmare. First we arrive to rooms packed with bunk beds until you almost can’t walk in and out of your room if you happen to be unlucky enough to get the room that only has 2 bunk beds. But as if this wasn’t enough, the nightmare was about to begin. After an amazing night of walking around the streets of Lisbon, we come back to the hotel only to discover our bunk beds were being used by 2 girls that by the way couldn’t be more unfriendly.||So what happened was: we were in a room for 4, and a guy decided that he would sleep in the beds of the 2 girls ( he was really weird, looked completely drugged and was sleeping completely naked), so this means the girls decided to sleep in our beds instead. We asked them to leave but they wouldn’t because they didn’t want to sleep under the guy since he was always saying he had a fever (which it didn’t look like the next morning, he was completely fine) and mumbling stuff and praying, altogether it was a weird situation so we tried calling the owner that welcomed us (spoiler alert! Until this day I haven’t received a answer back) so we stayed in the kitchen for around 2 hours and shows up a young boy with his girlfriend asking us if everything was okay and saying that it wasn’t the first time, they have been there for 2 days and the first night was even worse. ||So they ended up offering us their beds because they couldn’t sleep and we rested for an hour, only to wake up and ask for a refund which was denied to us.||Great place, will pay to...
