Pura Vida Beach Hostel — Hotel in Lourinhã

The only thing Pura Vida has in common with a hostel is the dorm style, which are mixed sex. Apart from that, it's cleaner, cosier, modern, light and versatile. ||||Hugo takes such an incredible pride in both the accommodation and its surroundings. He is the most caring, kind and welcoming host you have ever met. He goes well beyond providing 'just an accommodation' to recommending places to eat, inviting visitors to local events and assisting with anything with a big smile and endless patience. He keeps the place spotless and in perfect working order, adding many homely touches such as scented candles, blankets, basic toiletries. ||||I came to Pura Vida on my own to try surfing, in September 2016, by bus from Lisbon. The journey takes 1.5hr and is super comfortable and the ticket very cheap. ||||There are endless beaches and a local shop but apart from that, this is a place to relax not to party and explore. Best hostel ever!|||When you arrive in pura vida you feel immediately welcome and its like in a big family everybody connects fast together and its just such a great vibe in the whole hostel!||Very very clean bathrooms with hot showers! Very welcoming helpful staff. The beds are comfortable with fresh sheets two pillows and you even get your own towel!||Also the kitchen facilities were brilliant. We had a wonderfull dinner (Bea and Hugo cooked for us). The hosts did two extremly nice trips with us - one to peniche and one to sintra. ||There was such a lovely atmosphere in the hostel pura vida! I really enjoyed my stay at Pura Vida. I spent 8 night in the shared dorm. The hostel is very pretty, clean, organized and very very very well located (I l would say about 80 meters to the beach). The outdoor space is very nice, tu eat your own food or for sunbathing. There are also two outdoors showers which are very handy if you want to quickly rinse yourself right after surfing. The breakfast is good and included in the price. Bea, the manager, is so friendly and makes everything to make sure that you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. I cannot wait to come back.
