One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Portugal – if not the best! The restaurant is located right by the sea and is clean and beautifully decorated. The service is absolutely outstanding. We were welcomed warmly, and you can feel the family-like atmosphere from the very first moment.
Our kids could move around freely, were always served first, and even had a few special requests fulfilled without hesitation. This place is truly child-friendly – it’s a top priority here!
The food is incredibly fresh, and the quality is amazing. Every single dish we had was absolutely delicious – no exceptions!
If you’re in Lourinhã, this is a must-visit restaurant. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year and can’t wait to eat at Foz again. Our son is still talking about the food and the wonderful restaurant experience.
Pro tip: Reserve a table by the window in advance – you’ll not only enjoy great food and a lovely atmosphere, but also get to watch a stunning and unforgettable sunset right over the ocean. Perfect!
If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would! Thank you for letting us spend so many wonderful evenings...
Read moreFood was stunning, the swordfish and grilled sardines were to die for. If it was for the good alone I'd have rated 5 stars straight. Unfortunately there was a very judgemental waiter who made us feel like we didn't belong. We (family of 5) were left to wait at the door for more than 7 minutes, then told there was no table if we didn't have a reservation. The table was filled with small bits and pieces (cheese, olives, bread, pates, butter) without us being asked beforehand and the kids tucked in. It was more than 10 € total for all small cover parts and the cured cheese looked like it had made the rounds already. In short: tourist trap behavior. We were then told the restaurant only takes cash or local card, no visa or MasterCard, hence one of us had to go to an ATM to...
Read moreSuper view. Very very good food. Friendly service. Very courteous. Five stars, no question.
As a foreign guest, however, another problem arises when paying: no cards are accepted. Only cash. No Master Card, no Visa Card, no bank cards either. I tested it. Allegedly, the Multibanco system is to blame.
So you can only go and get cash. Attention: at a Multibanco machine. ;) Works without problems.
You now get the amount shown on a tablet, pay cash. You do not get a receipt. Well, how does that feel? Really unnecessary!
Get a grip on it!
Everywhere in Portugal you can pay by card. Only here not. I don't like to be taken for a fool.
But the food, the service and the view are...
