Ericeira Prime Villas — Hotel in Mafra

We absolutely loved our stay at Ericeira Prime Villas! The name truly reflects the experience. It’s a 5/5 from us, and we highly recommend a stay here. The villa is very spacious and easy to relax in. It’s a beautiful sanctuary.

Rui, the owner and designer of this villa, is incredibly hospitable and kind. This villa is his creative vision, managed along with his family. It’s a true boutique hotel and a piece of art—contemporary, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated with a minimalistic touch.

Every corner of the villa reflects his care, featuring minimal yet soulful decor with natural elements like beautiful woods, linens, ceramics, sisal rugs, and mid-century modern furniture. The hot showers were great, and every detail was carefully considered. We really enjoyed our private pool and had access to the larger pool shared by all the guests.

Rui welcomed us with a basket full of fresh bread, a bottle of wine, fruit, and pastel de nata, which was much appreciated. He also shared a great list of recommendations for local restaurants, cafes, and activities.

The location is fantastic, offering a 7-10 minute walk to the stunning beaches of Ericeira and its variety of lovely restaurants and cafes, all easily accessible by foot. There’s a great supermarket just around the corner, less than a 5-minute walk away.

Ericeira is a super charming town, and Rui and his team have created a delightful sanctuary within it. We couldn’t be happier with our stay, and we can't...

We had the most amazing stay at these villas and would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Ericeria which is a very special place.

Rui gave us a wonderful welcome to our accommodation and had left a very thoughtful welcome package of some food and drinks. He had also arranged an airport transfer for us. Rui was also very kind to check in with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok and gave us some local recommendations on restaurants, beaches and surf schools. The perfect host!

The villas have everything you need. Home away from home. I loved that they provide you with beach towels and some arm bands and floats for the children to use within the pool. Very thoughtful for those travelling with young children and saves you having to take your own. Lucas was always around during the day and would help with anything you needed in and around the pool/villa.

We stayed for 10 days and our villa was cleaned twice. Each time we had fresh bedding, towels and arrived back to an immaculate villa.

The location is perfect with a short walk into the centre of town. There is also a supermarket across the road from the main entrance to the estate which has self service washing machines and dryers.

The accommodation provides off street parking with security cameras and secure entry.

Could not fault these villas or the staff. We are already planning our return trip.

SO fabulous! Ericeira Prime Villas is the definition of a Boutique Luxury Resort. The space is perfection from the big-picture aspects of architecture and location, down to the details of its interior design and thoughtful local touches. Rui is a generous host/concierge and made certain our stay was fantastic. (I almost want to keep this place a secret so that I can still afford it on my next visit!)

The bright villas and rooftop-gardens are integrated with the landscape in a way that makes you feel outside even when you are indoors. In addition to your own private pool, yard, and patio: the villas are arranged so that you feel yours is the only one there! The location itself is perfect: set on a hill with a view overlooking the main village ocean skyline, walkable to all of Ericeira, and a supermarket just down the street! Four days were not enough.

Inside, I can't begin to describe how much I love the minimalist interior design of the natural-light filled rooms. From the storage spaces to the top-notch kitchen products and high-power blow-dryer, they truly designed everything with your comfort in mind (there's even a bidet!). If I ever achieve my childhood dream of becoming a resort owner, I want Rui and his family/team in charge of it all ;)
