Super stay at this hotel. It is a little out of the centre, as people have already mentioned, but the metro station is a 5-minute walk away (at the most) and the trains are very frequent. Maybe 15 minutes to get to the ‘centre’. After an entire day exploring the busy, tourist areas of Porto, it felt nice to get away from it a bit, to regroup. It also enabled us to go to different areas closer to the hotel, to restaurants we wanted to try. So, for us, the perfect location. Directly behind the hotel is the Norte Shopping centre, which is huge and has a big food court. We went once to check it out and have a coffee, but we weren’t in Porto to shop. Looked good though and was very popular. ||Our room was lovely. Very clean, modern and fresh. Not sure how long this hotel has been open, but it feels very new. The bed & pillows were soooo comfortable, and the rain head shower was superb. Sufficient storage space for us in the bathroom and wardrobe, the AC worked a treat, and the black out curtains were much appreciated on the bright, sunny mornings. There was a cold water machine on each floor when you exited the elevator, which is a great idea. Why don’t all hotels do this? We could fill our bottles and didn’t have to buy lots of plastic bottles, great sustainable initiative. Staff were friendly & pleasant. We did not have the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. ||Someone had mentioned in a previous review about the toilet paper dispenser. It is the kind you usually find in a public restroom, so rather than rolls of TP, it dispenses sheets. Ours was a little overpacked, so it either ripped coming out, or we accidentally pulled out too many sheets. But it is hardly a huge complaint in the grand scheme of things! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, the price was good for a good quality, comfortable hotel, Would...
Read moreGood hotels are generally expensive in Porto. We opted for this Norte hotel as it was next to a train station, and lower in price, yet with full facilities. Moov Porte served our needs. ||A fairly new hotel, just 5 min away from the larges shopping mall in Porto - Norte. This mall has food, retail, pharmacy, almost everything you need to buy and convenient. It is a short walk to around the hotel to reach the main entrance.||The hotel is in the north so don't get it mixed up with the Moov hotel in Centro (2x the price). The hotel has a 24 hr reception with very helpful and kind staff. Polite and answering any ridiculous question the guests can throw at them. It is a modern hotel and the rooms are new in finish, bathroom / shower clean and everything works. the beds were soft and comfortable. Elevator works fine also. We did not take the hotel breakfast package because it was Euro12.50 per pax. We walked to the left of the entrance and found a cafe that opens at 6am in the morning for a simper coffee, bread, eggs and sweets, ala carte style, which turned out better than a buffet breakfast.||We chose this hotel because it is about 15 min walk to the metro station. Tickets are Euro 2.20 per pax single journey. Took it the first day but realised that a return ride from city center to our hotel is only about Euro 8 or 9 for the 2 of us. Thereafter we ordered Bolt and / or Uber to city center, and from the city center. Faster and more convenient, at a slightly...
Read moreWe chose this hotel as our last night as I had an early flight home. The room was a good size and I really liked the bathroom with a good shower, having rainwater head and a wand. The TV had a good range of channels in different languages. There was some noise from the road, but I had a room on the 5th floor. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a toilet that wouldn't stop flushing about 10pm at night. The receptionist came up straight away to resolve the problem, and he showed me how to fix it if it happened again, but it didn't have any more problems. They have a TV showing the airport arrivals and departures in the reception area. There are vending machines with snacks and you can have breakfast on the ground floor, but I left too early to try it. We walked 10 minutes to the nearest metro station. Lots of lines stop there heading to the city centre, but we headed over to Matosinhos Sul and walked to the beach. It was only 8 euros from the Anemone sculpture,on the beach, back to the hotel. There's a large shopping centre near the hotel but I didn't explore it. A good value, very friendly...
