I’ll begin with reasons not to stay here. The entire motif of the place is white on white on white, with a little white thrown in for comfort. Very… um… institutional, and echoey. Our small room with two board hard twins pushed together was furnished with hobbit sized furniture that must have been purchased at a garage sale in the Shire long, long ago. ||||Our brightly lit WHITE bathroom consumed roughly half of our living space leaving a few squalid square centimeters to actually live in. We did have a small deck overlooking a lovely gray alley and a number of neighbors’ hanging laundry.||The place was exceptionally clean, or perhaps the dirt was just concealed by all that whiteness, but the walls were paper thin. We could hear our neighbor’s conversations, TV and yes, even snoring through the walls so loudly I had to buy ear plugs for our second night. The TV, btw, was the tiniest I’d ever seen, with terrible picture and sound.||||Where was the ocean view we were told existed? Up on the roof along with the swimming pool we expected from all the online lit. The roof was locked off and the pool was closed ‘for repairs’ we were first told, then ‘for the winter’ we were told when checking out. “Do you want to swim in the winter?” asked the belligerent front desk lady? Well yes, if a pool is advertised, we expect it to be available, in good working order and heated if need be if you’re going to use it to draw in business. We also thought it might be nice to lie on a lounge chair and read in sun on the roof by the pool but noooo, no sunning allowed either!||||As advertised, they do provide free parking, for about 7 vehicles. The place must have 30 rooms, it’s 6 stories tall, and they won’t reserve you a parking space. It’s first come, first served, so if you arrive late you can expect to pay for street parking and leave your ride in public overnight. Something they might have explained online BEFORE you booked your room.||||Oh yeah! If it’s a non smoking hotel, why does each room come equipped with an ashtray? Sure, they can smoke outside on the deck, where all the neighbors get to share and enjoy all that nasty funk, but do they? You won’t know until you check in, and, if you decide to not stay or to check out earlier than you planned for some reason (no pool, no parking, cigarette smell, noisy neighbors, uncomfortable beds), no, you won’t get a refund. Not even an apology. Honestly.||||On the plus side, the free breaky was adequate, if extremely crowded, but who in their right mind thought greasy, thin sliced processed ham and American cheese constituted good breakfast protein?||||So if you are looking for good value, good service or good accommodations, there are much better local choices. If you’re looking for a cheap place to crash with low expectations, this might just be your joint. We let them keep our third day’s rent and moved on rather than waste another night.||||Oh yeah, I’m very sorry Dorothy’s house landed on the front...
Read moreWe booked this accommodation as it was one of the most cheapest in Nazare. And that's all, I'll tell good and bad things we found in it.||||First, the parking is on the other side of the building, so you have to take a loop to access the parking. And then, you have to ring a phone to reception to open the door. Furthermore, our room balcony's was over the open parking, so we heard the high noise of the door opening and closing all the time. We also listened to our room-neighbors, as rooms are not noise-isolated. We woke up to the plumbing noise from the next room at 7am every day!!!! ||Also, the spring matress was digging into our bodies. The breakfast is OK, but maybe too simple. And the bath / shower screen was so small it was useless, all the water spread over all the bathroom floor as the screen it's to small to stop it.||||We liked the location of this hotel (just 1 street from the beach), and also staff were very friendly. The room & bathroom are big enough for 2 people, and there's a nice balcony. Rooms have also their own air conditioning, cool for cold but a bit uncomfortable when hot.||It's 100% Covid safe as all the people wears mask inside the place, they respect social distance and have hand-sanitizers everywhere.||||||Definitely, you have what you paid. And this is the best example. It's so good for the price! But don't book here if you're looking for a...
Read moreThe personal was very unfriendly and arrogant. When we arrived they were watching a TV Show on the their screen, and this didn't change (we saw the show every time we passed them). Their English wasn't very good and it was hard to communicate (something that should not happen if you work in a hotel). When asking for the parking space, the first response was a very aggressive comment, that I should have read the description, that there is no reservation for the parking space. After some time they showed us the space and there were multiple parking spots free. They showed us the smallest one. As I was having some trouble with the parking (I am not the best driver) they talked to me in Portuguese the whole time and were laughing.
The room was big but not very nice. Not modern at all, the blanket was dirty, the bathroom was so old, one door of the cuport was missing, and I didn't even wanna go in the shower.
The room had a big balcony, but the tiles were broken and you were facing a wall. The hallway was smelly and looked like it hasn't been renovated since forever. Overall: -Staff: unfriendly, arrogant, not helpful -Room: dirty, old, broken
I forgot my headphones in the room (I am 100% sure I left them here) and they dont answer the phone...
