Hotel Summer Cascade — Hotel in Portimão

If you want good service don’t stay here. If you want to be treated like a second class citizen, this is the place to be.

The host is very rude and there is a lack of hospitality. Simple questions will get you angry messages from the host. As if they want you to just pay and require nothing of them.

We tried to wash our clothes and the host gave us directions on where to find the washing machine, only to wake up to angry messages at 9am indicating that they were not happy about us using it. Every decent hotel or guesthouse has a laundry, there should be no problem to use these amenities.

The host also seemed unhappy about the price that we paid for the stay. As if they are not the ones who set the price on the website? As such, they then treated us like we don’t deserve to be at the property and cannot afford to be on vacation there.

Additionally, we ensured the windows stayed closed, however there were bugs in the room next to the bed. Breakfast was included, but we did not feel comfortable eating here for this reason.

Every time we asked the host a question they kept on responding with the checkout time? Just poor service all around.

Parking was convenient with gated entry into the parking space and building. The keys were not secure though, as the lockbox was already open.

Unfortunately we did not feel welcome at this property and would not recommend it if you have certain standards for quality, service, and...

Just had another amazing 2weeks in the villa, very spacious, well equipped with complimentary breakfast pastries, tea, coffee etc all incuded. We was lucky to have the place to ourselves a few days when we stayed in by the pool, even if there are other guests you never really get ontop of each other.

Cynthia who keeps the villa running day to day is a lovely lady who is very friendly and always around if you ever need her. Fresh towels are provided every couple of days, fresh bedding provided after a week (if staying longer). Lucibela is a lovely lady, saw her and Lars a few times, always made sure everything was okay and we didn't need anything. We stayed in Ancora where it can get very hot , already had an Aircon provided in there but didn't do much. However we came back from being out one day and found another aircon unit in there, which worked a treat for us! Thank you (was hot days & Nights was deffo needed)

Villa itself is in a great location, close to restaurants, bars, superMarket are all nearby. Short walk to beach & harbour. Local shopping center is only a 10min drive aswell which has a range of shops if you want high street shops, if want local independent there only short walk around the area.

I had a wonderful time stopping at this guest house. The property is immaculate and the owner has thought of absolutely everything ,which made our stay memorable for my birthday celebrations.|I stopped in the master suite with my friends,beautiful room and a sea view from balcony. Stunning!!|The owner Lucibela is so lovely,we were greeted at the property on our arrival and any problems at all she can be contacted (which we did not have to do,as you cannot fault the facilities and the housekeeper constantly asked daily if everything was ok and if we were enjoying our stay)|The location of the property is brilliant,a few minutes walk to the supermarket and a 10 minute walk to the beach. |I’m so glad I have found this beautiful guest house and will be definitely booking to go...
