My daughter got married in 2020, and since I had been a travel agent many years ago, I helped her book the flight and hotels for her honeymoon. We booked directly with the hotels rather than using a company like booking.com so that the hotels could make the full profit. A few weeks later, Covid hit, and my daughter and her fiancé made the sad decision to cancel their trip as there were too many uncertainties with travelling.

It took some time, but every single hotel and remarkably even the airline gave them a refund. Not this particular hotel. They were booked for 4 nights and this hotel kept the entire advance payment of the full 4 nights even though my daughter cancelled more than two months before their intended stay....

Fatal. Cuidado con las reservas. Hice una reserva, buen rato después y siendo para esa misma noche, me mandan un email diciendo que había dos reservas a la vez y que no nos podían dar la habitación. Yo vi el mensaje de casualidad, ya que me había llegado uno antes de confirmación de la estancia. Les llamé yo porque no entendía la situación, y se excusaban con tonterías, no pensaban ni en llamar. Como ya me habían cobrado, me dijeron que lo reembolsaban, lo cual fue una gran mentira. Tuve que llamar a la señora muchas veces pidiéndole que me devolvieran el dinero, me decía que sí todas las veces y nada. Tuve que ir a mi banco a hacer una reclamación, la que también rechazaban. Después de unas 3 semanas, un día me hicieron parte del ingreso, llamé y dije que faltaba dinero, ni caso, y así hasta la actualidad, me quedé sin recibir totalmente el dinero .
