We stayed two nights.||Pros: good size room comfortable twin beds. Adequate power points. Good cupboard space. Fridge. TV. Air Conditioning. Safe.||Bathroom is modern and functional with the shower over the bath.||Balcony outside with chairs and small table. Grass lawn with tables and chairs outside the rooms. spa. Indoor swimming pool. Gym.|Elevator |The staff are generally friendly but can be a bit curt at times at reception. They speak good English.||Breakfast buffet is quite reasonable with a hot option of eggs.||The hotel is situated at the top of a hill near a square and is opposite an interesting 15th century church which is also worth a visit. A Lidl supermarket is about 10 minutes walk away.||Cons: The water in the shower takes a while to heat up and does not appear to get hot although it is adequately warm.| |In summary this hotel is very comfortable and pleasant and certainly lives well up to its 3 star designation. I highly recommend this...
Read moreThe booking/ reception staff were rude, unhelpful and unfriendly via email and in person. When we changed from three guests to two one month out, they refused to reimburse any money, saying we had been allocated a big room. This didn’t seem fair given they only needed to supply linen, towels or breakfast for two people, we would have been happy in a smaller room, and I gave them plenty of notice. I would have cancelled when I received their unfriendly response but they do not refund once you have paid (and they ask for payment a long time in advance). The hotel is aligned with the Rota Vicentina walk which is why we booked but it doesn’t have the warm character or welcoming feel of other places we stayed along the way. It’s expensive too. My advice: Look around for something cheaper that has more character and a flexible cancellation policy. If you do book, read...
Read moreThis is a good place to stay for a night or two, well located, in room Wi-Fi, clean and reasonably spacious rooms. Ours had a terrace which was nice and we enjoyed the use of the indoor pool. No tea making facilities in room. My main feeling is that the place lacks ‘heart’ and feels a bit claustrophobic . Feels a bit jaded and like a hotel for people on business trips. The breakfast was ok , but not the best . Oh and watered down, concentrated orange juice just isn’t on in a country replete with fresh oranges. Everywhere else we stayed served wonderful freshly squeezed juice. The dining area was so small that people were seated blocking access to the...
