We were brought to O Cultural by my brother and sister-in-law on what ended up being a doubly cultural day-trip to Vila do Bispo - firstly for the (excellent) Algarve museum, and subsequently for lunch before heading over to check out Sagres and Cabo de São Vicente. They had discovered the restaurant on a previous visit, and we had heard the tale of this cool hidden-away Argentinian place that we had to try. So, try we did, and it did not disappoint.

Our group was split fairly evenly order-wise between the burgers and the steak, each of which made their own very strong case on the menu. Upon ordering, we were warned in a polite and friendly manner that, owing to the fact that all the food is produced by just one chef, there may be a bit of a freeform feel to the timing of the food's delivery, and that we may not all receive our meals precisely together. As it was, it ran almost like clockwork: first the burgers out as one, almost immediately followed by the steaks, arriving chronologically in order of rare-to-well-done status.

Having umm'ed and aah'd over which to choose, eventually deciding that I couldn't forgo the opportunity to experience the Argentinian Angus beef in its truest form, I had a momentary pang of regret upon seeing those initial burgers. That was dispelled with extreme prejudice the moment I received the food I did order, however. I had asked for my steak to be cooked rare, and it was; to perfection. The meat itself had a buttery richness to it running alongside the umami, and there is no doubt that it is a strong contender for the best steak I have ever eaten. To boot, both accompaniments were also sublime. Their take on crispy fries, halfway between wedges and slices, were so beautifully seasoned that they have can boast the extremely rare accolade of being at their best eaten entirely un-sauced and on their own merits, and even the side salad artfully filling the rest of the plate was fresh, without filler, and replete with its own delightful vinaigrette.

Taking into account what each dish cost, whilst you'd be unlikely to describe it as 'cheap', it certainly isn't expensive; either for what it is or in relation to the majority of other restaurants in the Algarve. Throughout the meal, the entire staff were also friendly, helpful, and had no problems accommodating a walk-in group of 9 that included a toddler.

If you're ever anywhere near the area, I couldn't recommend O Cultural...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant and I must say, it was one of the greatest dining experiences I have ever had. The food was absolutely amazing, with every dish being super tasty and expertly prepared. The Argentinean "carne a la parrilla" was a standout dish for me, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

But the culinary delights did not stop there - the desserts were also incredible. I indulged in a delicious chocolate cake that was rich and decadent, a perfect end to an amazing meal.

In addition to the amazing food, the attention from the staff was top-notch. They were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also great - the mood was relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a memorable dinner with friends or family.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. From the delicious food to the attentive service and inviting atmosphere, this place...

A very appealing location, uncomplicated and comfortable, with a nice ambience, with the possibility to sit inside and on a terrace. Very friendly and attentive staff, great service, nice selection of dishes and drinks. For lunch we had EMPANADA ARGENTINA VEGETARIANA (Argentinian vegetarian empanada), PROVOLETA (grilled cheese, roasted tomatoes, chimichurri, bread), BIFANA DE COGUMELOS GRELHADOS ( Grilled mushroom bifana with house aioli) and as a desert BANOFFEE cake (banana, salted caramel, whipped cream) with coffee. The food was excellent, the cake a sensation. We really enjoyed our stay, the food and the service and would love to come back!

Two brothers & surfers from Argentina, decided to open a small restaurant in Cultural in Villa do Obispo. Benjamin, so nice, will tend help you choose on of the delicious VEGETARIAN warm pates after a day surfing at AMADO BEACH. Cool and relaxed you will enjoy in your Argentinian melted cheese with toasts o your grated vegetables with lovely white bechamel sauce. Being on the back of the building you get to have no wind. Dessert is the top plate chocobamba! I liked as well the fact that they are shearing space with the cultural house of villa do Bispo.

Amazing lunch stop! One of the best bifanas we have had - added cheese and had a lovely salad with fries. But the highlight had to be the entree (starter) of the roasted cheese with tomatoes and an herb mix served with toast - oh my, we could eat that every day! Our server was fantastic and although we apologized for our terrible Portuguese language skills, he had excellent English! We will be back for sure!
