Pure Flower Esteva Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Vila do Bispo

We started our week at a 5 star Pousada and finished it in a guesthouse. I’ve never stayed in a guesthouse before but it had such great reviews I thought I would try it for one night. So glad I did. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who was extremely attentive and helpful. Our room on the ground floor was spacious well equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings and sliding doors which lead on to a private patio area with table and chairs. There was also a lovely breakfast room which had a fridge freezer that we could use to store our own drinks, food etc. The room was fully equipped with cooker, microwave, kitchen utensils etc if you wanted to cook your own food. I noticed that most of the guests were backpackers on walking holidays so this would have been really useful for them. There was also a variety of cakes and fresh fruit available at no extra cost|There was also a communal guest lounge upstairs|Breakfast was continental so no hot food but plentiful with a good selection and variety. |I would definitely recommend this “5 star” guesthouse. I stayed here for three days in March and wish I could have been there longer. ||The staff are phenomenal - very professional! ||I stayed in a single (with a double bed and private bath) on the second floor. The room was spacious. There is also community space on the second floor if you want another area to hang. The grounds are well maintained.||Breakfast is phenomenal- many options and great before a day of hiking. The kitchen is always available for use - there is a Lidl in town where you can get many groceries and cook dinner on your own; or if you just want to make a coffee in the afternoon the kitchen is open.||The location is very easy to get to from the bus stops into the area and there seemed to be parking right on the street nearby.||Highly recommend and I will be back! Best bed and breakfast I've seen in a long time. Everything is at least as nice as in the pictures!

Arrival and check-in was super smooth. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, Cristina (I believe that was her name) gave us a nice introduction, showed us around and provided some local tips. Rooms are beautiful and have a good size, also very quiet, bed was perfect. Everything seems to be quite new. Common areas both inside and outside are perfect. The kitchen is accessible throughout the day, coffee, juices and some snacks permanently available.
