Throughout our 2 week stay in Portugal, this was our favourite accommodation. A truly beautiful place to stay, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The building is newly renovated and very well designed. We stayed in a room on the first floor with a balcony. It was extremely quiet and the beds (and pillows) were high quality to give a really good night's sleep. Rooms are air conditioned and very spacious. Breakfasts are particularly nice, with a wide range of food on offer, including fresh fruit and freshly made breads/cakes. One of the best features of the hotel is the well equipped communal kitchen. You can make coffees and teas (there's 2 automatic coffee machines with freshly ground beans) - and there's a large fridge and microwave. Everything is immaculately clean and there's plenty of chairs and sofas to relax. There is plenty of parking either on the street outside, or in numerous parking bays 50m up from the hotel. Vila do Bispo is a lovely small town and it has some high quality cafes and restaurants - including a superb vegetarian. Would highly recommend and thanks for an...
Read moreWhat I have experienced with accommodations in Portugal is that things tend to be roughly right. Not here. Everything was right. The building has been recently renovated. Design and the actual work must have been carefully planned and executed. Walls and windows isolate both noise and heat. And the modern heater is efficient and works silently. I slept like a baby in a wide and comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious and in mint condition. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of healthy options. And a hot pot of really good coffee. It is a good location, too - everything is within a walking distance in this small village. Pauliina was super helpful. She also provided guidance of local restaurants and places to stay in my next stop. The owners like what they do ant it shows. If I’m going back anywhere of this village I know where I...
Read moreReally lovely guest house. Everything is new, tidied up and clean. The decoration style is Modern and cozy. It’s nice to stay there for 1 or 2 nights, but there are no real places to hang arround as it is in the heart of the village.
The rooms are spacious and you have everything you need.
The location is great to parc your car, but to commute to the beach you need to have a car. Supermarkets are in the neighborhood.
For my taste it was a little to loud (but I need to say I have a sensitive sleep). However in our case we had a barking dog over night which was really annoying and the highway next door is good to get to sagres but it causes noise.
All in all, it’s a great place to sleep. They serve a great breakfast and it’s clean. If you look for a place to hang arround, you should check out another...
