Hotel Marié — Hotel in Constanta Metropolitan Area

Staff is friendly and the booking plus check in was easy. The hotel has a good location, within walking distance to the strip and main clubs and restaurants. It's close to the telegondola that takes you to Satul de vacanta. There's no view, the hotel looks like a block of flats from the outside. Parking is limited so is best to park on street, we parked and left the car there for a few days as didn't need it. There's no restaurant in the hotel, so breakfast needs to be taken outside , but luckily there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance. The room is neutral and modern, the bathroom is en suite, with a nice shower. Fresh towels offered daily, room was clean and sheets were nice Egyptian cotton. There's a minibar with some drinks at an extra cost as per usual ( we had to unplug it as it was really noisy! And couldn't fit our drinks in there anyway because it's tiny and full with drinks from hotel) there was air-conditioning in every room, thick curtains to protect from the sun and double glazed windows, no balcony as we stayed on ground floor, I don't know if they have any. We had a nice stay, receptionist was nice and friendly. The chambermaid was really noisy in the morning and started hoovering early in the morning after that it seamed that she was having a nice chat with someone, the walls are quite thin and could hear most of the convo. My husband and I , along with our daughter and her boyfriend, spent a couple of nights on this hotel and overall we've had a pretty good experience, in terms of quality of sleep, cleanliness of the room and location, which was very convenient for walking to the beach and restaurants area. The staff was pleasant and helpful, too, only they didn't respect the non-smoking policy within the premises enforced for the customers, the receptionists themselves smoking around the reception area, so the whole lobby up to the first floor was stretched with the acrid smell of cigarettes. When we asked whether smoking is permitted around the lobby, we've been told a definite 'NO', although we've smelt cigarettes and we've seen receptionists smoking into the office behind the reception desk. Stayed here three nights in August 2023. No complaints. Good nonsense hotel. Minor flaws only, nothing you wouldn't expect from a 3-star hotel at such a low price. Limited parking only but more or less supervised. You can get a cup of coffee in the lobby. The terrace is free to use (unserviced). You can use it for a beer and a smoke in the evenings or go to the very nearby well-stocked 24-hour supermarket, buy your dinner there and eat it at the terrace. Just a small walk to the beach and main tourist boardwalk where you'll find an entrance to the funicular, many shops and bars/ eateries as well as attractions for kids.
