Grand Hotel Caraiman — Hotel in Mangalia

12-15 min from the beach depends of your age and way of walking. Central location, close to stores and restaurants.

Recently renovated hotel, very nice and clean. The rooms are in great condition. Not the largest, but fair sqf for 1 standard size hotel room, balcony with 2 chairs and a cofee table.

Bathroom is a bit small but modern and practical (I have to say that it might be a bit tight for some xl folks...) Queen size beds and pillows are very comfortable and new. Large nice tv on the wall right in front of the bed with a bunch of different channels, whisper quiet a/c units, actually new.

2 large open pools that are in the sun most of the day.

Breakfast is fantastic. Coffee served is also great!

All the guys working in the hotel must be related 😊 because they are very nice and courteous, all of them👍

Yes, for sure I will come back again, as a matter of fact we extended our vacation 2 more days in this hotel because of all the above mentioned.

I just spent a six-day stay at this hotel and I was very pleasantly impressed. Although I initially did not have high expectations, once I arrived at the hotel I was surprised to find that the reality was different from what I had anticipated. A chic hotel, completely renovated recently, located in the center of the resort. I had the all-inclusive package and I was not disappointed at all. The daily variety of food, pork, sea food, chicken beef and lamb, very tasty, very good homemade cakes and excellent coffee. A very well-trained staff, kind and always ready to help you. Due to the fact that the hotel is seven hundred meters from the beach, tourists are provided with a free tuk tuk every half hour, which is extremely useful. Do I recommend this hotel? Definitely YES! And I say this after visiting many five-star resorts in Egypt, Tunisia or even Turkey where sometimes I found conditions and services below what I received at the Grand Caraiman Hotel. The Hotel is ok-ish, but the services not so much. The sheet on the bed had a stain, and we saw it as soon as we have entered the room. It didn't look like a human made stain, therefore we didn't made a complaint. The room is small, the bathroom is very small and it doesn't have a towel hanger. A bigger man couldn't fit the shower cabin. Also, a real soap is missing as they only provide a 2 in 1 gel to the shower and sync area. Another odd thing is the light on the balcony which you cannot turn off,as it is only controllable by the hotel personnel probably. The only upside is the breakfast, which is very diverse and tasty. Probably other meals too, but we only had the B&B. The pool is ok, but the area is not being taking care of as for a 4 star hotel. The experience was ok as in for a 3 star hotel even though we had accomodations to a more luxuriant 3 star hotels (in Romania) and we saw much more luxuriant 4 star hotels to which this one cannot be compared...
