Hotel Neptun — Hotel in Mangalia

I stayed at this hotel one night, 03.09-04.09. It is an acceptable hotel if you have a limited budget and make the decision to go the on last hundred meters before departure; I made a reservation through booking.com a few days before and was acceptable in terms of budget and for one night. This was an introduction, now let's start with the really important details:||Room: I had a single room with two single beds; decent size bed, pillow ok, ok mattress. I found in the closet blankets (I can not sleep blanket regardless of temperature) and i had a fairly restful sleep.||Bathroom: was decent, hot water, equipped with hairdryer, soap, shower gel.||Location: central, on the opposite side of the street with Springtime; right next to the Church - I had room 110 which had views of the church. Note: the evening was pretty noisy as the hotel is centrally located. Sunday morning you can hear the church service; It did not bother me, it really was a good opportunity and I had no excuse for not going to Church.||Breakfast: Well, here I had a few problems: i found different types of food: scrambled eggs, frankfurters, boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, cornflakes, cheese, coffee, tea, butter, jam, fruit etc. The issue is presentation and serving: boiled eggs ended immediately and those that just came were not cooked enough, the fruits were too few for the number of tourists and ate in two seconds (the bananas were literally gone in two seconds); everything you want you must request, because there are not too careful with the refill. Coffee is weak and cold etc etc. Of course I ended up with diarrhea, I do not know whether from this breakfast or from other food on the Romanian coast, the fact is that I was not satisfied at all by breakfast.||Distance from the beach: you have to walk by the lake, so you have some distance to walk; the plus is that you do some exercise and it is a pleasant walk.||Conclusion: for one night is acceptable, but for more ... The room and bathroom were not clean. My husband made a reservation on Booking and there the hotel is a 3 stars hotel, not a 2 stars like here. For a 3 star hotel we expected at least a clean shower and bathroom, and no dust in the room. The bathroom has no ventilation.

We did not had shower gel and body lotion. Only ONE small solid soap. There was an awful smell in the room, from the unventilated bathroom and the old furniture. We were unable to use the closet, it smelled like something was dead inside.

Deci este groaznic. Au insecte in pat, nu stiu ce fel de insecte, dar ma trezeam dimineata cu muscaturi si mancarimi. Camerele au un miros groaznic. Nu am avut nici un fel de lumina in camera: nici aplica nu functiona, si nici veioza. Este un hotel, care inca mai persista mirosul comunismului. Nu sunt o persoana pretentioasa. Eu am nevoie decat de un pat unde sa pot dormi. Nu ma intereseaza luxul, si pot sa trec cu vederea anumite aspecte, cum am facut la inceput, cand am facut check in-ul, dar in acest hotel nesimtirea este la ea acasa. Ni s-a confirmat prin email, ca s-a rezervat un pat pt copil de 2 ani, si micul dejun la pretul de 20 de lei zilnic. Cand am ajuns, am constatat ca nu exista patut pt copil de 2 ani in acel hotel, si daca vreau, pot sa iau aditional un pat de o persoana la jumatate de pret. Am refuzat, am culcat copilul cu noi in pat. Am trecut cu vederea. Am zis OK. A doua zi, am cumparat micul dejun cu 20 de lei. Oribila mancare. Am baut decat sucul de portocale, si am mancat un crenvurst, pana si mancarea parca era de pe timpul comunismului. Seara am zis sa mancam la restaurantul hotelului. Mda, a fost "perfect" :((. Ospatarul ne-a lasat 1 ora sa asteptam pana ne-a adus comanda. Am comandat bauturile... a uitat de ele. Dar pe nota de plata nu a uitat sa le treaca. Bineinteles ca s-a remediat, doar nu plateam ce nu consumasem. Ti se spune de la obraz, chiar daca nu ai terminat consumatia, sa aduca nota, ca ei vor sa inchida. La ora 22.00. In ziua urmatoare, am vrut sa platim din nou pt micul dejun, pt acei crenvursti minunati. Ni s-au cerut 30 de lei in loc de 20 de lei. Degeaba am incercat sa-i explicam, ca, cu o zi inainte platisem 20. Am refuzat. Am mers la restaurant sa platesc acolo. La fel, 30 de lei. Nimeni nu a stiut sa-mi dea o explicatie, de ce a crescut pretul de la o zi la alta. Eu nu caut lux, eu caut bun simt. Ceea ce, la foarte multe persoane lipseste.
