PROs:||Overall, the value for money ratio is hard to beat, perhaps in the entire Prahova Valley. The location, although too close to the DN1 motorway, puts it just within walking distance to the Peles Castle. Also the WiFi provides fast access all over the floors. The overall atmosphere is more towards a rustic design. This venue is highly recommended for a quick getaway of up to a weekend, but its drawbacks ops the length of ones stay to that. ||||CONs:||Disregarding the very good price per room, here are some drawbacks: outdated furniture in the rooms, especially in the bathrooms - with visible signs of ageing, the showers tub had visible areas of rust, too close to the main road that passes right in front of the venue (DN1), the railroad is also in close proximity and sometimes in the night trains can get loud - even though the tracks are across the Prahova River, very limited choices on the breakfast menu (with supermarket grade ingredients), no dedicated parking space (although many parking slots are available across the DN1 but unfortunately there is heavy traffic on this road).||However, one must filter all the cons - none of them real dealbrakers - through the...
Read moreWe've stayed here for 5 nights in August. We got to the hotel and were really nice greeted. We were offered a room at the second (last) floor. The room was spacious and clean. Our only problem was the fact that being on the last floor it was a bit too hot and there was no air conditioner, so we had to open wide the small window, but it was not enough. We had a mini-fridge, towels, toiletries and cable TV. The most annoying thing from the room was the door and the fact that it was opening with a card which wasn't always working so we sometimes had to go back downstairs to make it work at the front desk. ||We had breakfast, lunch and dinner included in the prices and they were pretty diverse and tasty. If we wanted something else we could have ordered. Also the place has a conference room and a room full of games (a poker table, a ping-pong table, fussball, rummy, cards) which they called "the pub". ||The personnel was really nice and welcoming and helped us every time we needed something. Also, the wi-fi is free and it works really good. ||The place is about 10-15 minutes away from the city center and the...
Read moreWe went there for 2 night during our trip at Romania at those were the worst nights we had. 1st only one person was speaking some kind of English and she was not available all the time. The room was dusty, half of the lamps were not working. There was no enough towels, no toilet paper, no soap and hopefully there was few unlocked room at out floor were we went to get supplies... The shower was strange and it was difficult to take shower as usual. During the breakfast there was no fruits, no boiled eggs only fried, no milk variety, some local thing that were really full of fats, no toasts only some kind of bread that was difficult to make sandwich, poor options for salami and sides. For vegatables there was only cucumber and tomatoes. No croissants or granola, just some kind of Nesquik cornflakes. No espresso. The location is a bit in a distance from the centre. Totally...
