Hotel Boutique Belvedere — Hotel in Sinaia

This used to be our favorite hotel in Sinaia. We came here since 2015 and it was beautiful. Indeed, this used to be the most chic accommodation in Sinaia, but not anymore. We we back after approximately 3 years and were very disappointed. Generally speaking, it is obvious that it would be the right time for repairments, repainting, etc., but they didn't do anything on this. The couch in the room had a big stain, the bathrobes for the hammam looked extremely used (probably they are the same since the opening of the hotel). There was no internet on our floor - we needed it for internet speed for watching Netflix on out laptop, but we ended using our mobile hotspot. When we told the reception that there is a problem they said that until Monday they cannot fix it. The TV's are old and small, they are overpassed as they don't support USB's or external units, so you can't even watch a movie. Most probably, they try to save money and maximize the income, but they do this with little things that are obvious and matter. For example, they cut all the good tea and they use the most cheap and worst tea - Fares and Belin. More, they don't even have popular tea like English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Green Tea or Fruit Tea. They have cheap tea like "Tei", "Sunatoare", "Musetel", that people usually drink it if they are sick. For the breakfast they kept the Julius Meinhl boxes and put this cheap tea in it. Breakfast is very poor, compared to what it used to be. More, my husband was asked for three times for the room number (which is disturbing, as one might think that they treat you like outsiders). No old staff was there anymore (and in the past they used to be the same) - this is another sign that they were not happy anymore with the current situation in the hotel. The coffee and tea in the room were also a no-name brand (the coffee) and horrible, and the tea Fares... The overall impression was that it used to be rich and now it is cheap, living from the past "fame", but for the same price. Very sorry for them, it is another business that used to be flourishing and destroyed by the greed of the owner. They want more, but with cheap products. We surely will...

It seems to be a good deal. The contact person tells you on the phone all you want to hear: Luxury suite, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, swimming pool, spa... It all turns to be a bit different one you get there. Parking ok. I got an apartment with one bathroom, the guy from the reception "didn't know they had apartments with two". Really? Cute but stupid? The swimming pool was a large bathtub, and I couldn't find the switch to turn the lights on, so we took a bath in the "gloomy dusk". Spa means a sauna, and if you want a massage, you pay extra for it. let's talk about the apartment. Clean. Small kitchen-like amenities in a big room that was also... meant for sleeping. For there were no two bedrooms. Of course. The light in the bathroom could barely help you to find the toilet or the sink. There is, though, a small button on the wall, with no inscription at all. Don't push it. It's the fire alarm. It doesn't make more light. But if there would be a fire, you definitely wouldn't find it. I was also keen to visit the Peles Castle. It's not 600 m away, it's about 3 km! By some mistake, Google got it wrong, and the hotel managers just seem to enjoy people having extra fitness... The good thing was the restaurant. Good breakfast and nice people. They get an extra point for that. The view is nice, but not great. Air is clean and fresh. Bottom line: I wouldn't go there again. Just say a thing and...

The hotel that cares!! The location is astounding. Set back atop a small hilltop the location is breathtaking. The landscape, view of the trees forest and the fresh air are astounding. We arrived for check in 2pm and were greeted with a smile. The service and support of all staff is second to none. The owner cares about the comfort and luxury of her guests. The breakfast included was vast fresh and cleanly presented. The rooms are large and luxurious. Ice no problem sir fan for your room no problem sir. Assistance with room facilities and spa nath no problem sir. Everything was delivered and beyond expectations. We also enjoyed room service and the food was not only delicious but cooked to perfection in the traditional way which I very much enjoyed. The view from the balcony's of our room yes we had two balcony's were pure solitude I could sit here for hours and absorb the calmness and beauty created by the owner and nature itself. Dont hesitate book today I promise you will not be disappointed. The venue allows you to book slots for the spa included is a hammam steam room and jacuzzi pool spa which we had to ourselves and the owner was so caring she allowed us extra time. I am extremely fussy but can confirm I would stay here again without any hesitation whatsoever. Cleanliness, location and service with a meaningful smile you will have it all...
