Casa Timar — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

We wanted a place to stay so we could walk to the Piata Sfatului area. Casa Timar is within easy walking distance and lots to see as you walk the 1.5 km to Piata Sfatului. Owners are both very nice, polite and helpful. Room charges for three of us was a decent price. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable The negatives are: there is no air conditioning (normal in Romania) but the windows opened to Street Gradinarilor which is only one building from the Street Iuliu Maniu, a very busy street thus lots of noise. If you shut the windows it gets hot in the room. When we first arrived I found one parking spot on Street Gradinarilor and was advised to not move my car because it is almost impossible to find parking reasonably close. For us a nice place to stay in the spring, fall and winter. The owner did state that they were going to put in AC. I forgot to mention to him that the bathroom vent did not...

Getting to the hotel straight from the central station was super easy. The location is great, close to everything but not in the busy city center, so it's quiet and relaxing. The street itself feels really safe even late at night. Right across the road there’s a cute little coffee place that only does coffee, definitely worth checking out! If you like shopping, there’s easy access to the nearby mall.

Liliana welcomed us with real warmth, showed us the best spots in the area on a map and even helped us adjust our trip to fit our plans. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. We didn’t know beforehand but her husband is actually a tour guide! If you’re staying here, I definitely suggest checking if you can join one of his tours.

This is a lovely place and I would love to come back and stay here again. The room was very big. As was the bathroom. It was in s very quite location set back behind its own courtyard. Yet it was an easy and short walk to the town square. The room had complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer and a shower with decent pressure which is always appreciated. The breakfasts were delicious. As someone from England I really appreciate a good cup of tea which I found hard to find in Romania but I enjoyed their tea here.|The owners were incredibly friendly and kind and I am very grateful to them for their help...
