Hotel Regal — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

The hotel is 5 bus stops from the railway station and 4 stops from the center. You can walk to the center in about 20-30 minutes. The staff is very nice and always smiling. We had a huge room with a king size bed and a single bed, a big tv, a fridge, air con, a nice bathroom, a nice big closet, mirros, table with chair and so on. It is a quiet hotel. We got a room facing a very quiet street also. It also has a parking spot. Rooms were cleaned every day. The breakfast was very good. Coffee, tea, milk, lemonade, orange juice, cereals, different types of jam and fruits, sweets, crème brulee, vegetables, sausages, omellettes, fried eggs, liver pate, butter, lots of different tartines, honey, wallnuts, salami, bacon, cheese, olives and many other things.You also get free toiletries: shower gel, soap, shower cap, sewing kit. Going into the hotel was a bit strange, after we managed to park our cars in the small backyard (we were members of a jeep tour group): The receptionist did not speak english, and we were handed a TV remote and an old fashioned room key (not a card).||||Our room on the 4th floor was nice and clean, it looked as it was renovated lately.||||There was an aircondition unit, but no remote to operate it.||There were no toiletries, no coffee machine, not even stationary in the room.||||Bed was comfortable.||||Bathroom was modern, with a large shower head, but taking a shower ended with a completely flooded floor !!||||Breakfast was OK, but simple, no rolls or cornflakes, with only one slow coffee machine serving all guests....||||All in all - an OK place to spend one night, about 5 minutes drive from...

We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance of the Railway Station and because of the good reviews we read. We arrived off an overnight sleeper having travelled for 3 days and although it was only 1000 our room was ready and we were able to have a shower and recover. The room was better than in the picture, large, quiet, airy with a beautiful walk in shower and a balcony. We were on the 4th floor and there is a lift. The staff go out of their way to help, Ramona who runs the hotel, takes a personal interest in the wellbeing of all her guests, Ludmilla and Yulia in particular took good care of us.
