Lately I stayed at Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg. I was disappointed and my experience was really bad with the hotel especially the services provided and the room cleanliness, old and broken furniture. Initially, I reserved in city view room and unfortunately they put me in backyard view for two nights and when I complained they moved me to bigger room with same backyard view. The first night was really terrible with noisy sound from the air conditioning machines near the room and couldn't sleep and when I showed my disappointment in the next morning to Mrs. Sofia the customers relation agent who came to our room and heard thankfully to my issues i.e. old and broken furniture, toilet leakage under the toilet sink. Moreover, the room was full of insects as shown in the attached pics. The most disrespectful attitude came when I asked Mrs. Sofia to talk directly to hotel manager who refused to meet us or to hear our issues. Finally, during the check out, hotel receptionist asked me to pay 250 rubbles for registration despite I paid for each guest 250 rubbles during the check in. I asked her to show evidence to pay such additional amount despite said amount already paid she started shouting and threatened me not to givevall the registrations which may cause me an issue with immigration going out the beautiful Russia. I had no solution other than pay such amount without providing such rules also to avoid her impolite attitude and her refusal to escalate my issue. The breakfast is tasteless and not recommended to try, you will fibd many options near by the hotel. The bright thing about the hotel is the location only on the main street in St. Petersburg and the concierge.. I will definitely visit the charming St. Petersburg again and will stay on Nevsky Street but not in Corinthia Hotel many hotels option are located on the same street... Again if you decided to stay there Be careful and keep your expectations...
Read moreI have spent for 2 days in July in this hotel. It is not my first time, I have been here a few years ago and I liked it then. Location is great, in the middle of Nevsky, quite close to Railway station as well as Rubinstein street, which is full of nice bars and restaurants. ||The air conditioner in the room was not blowing cold, but on the contrary warm and the room temperature was 28C. I called the technicians first night, they came and did not do anything. They Tried the alternatives from the switch, as I have done before, and said they will come tomorrow again. No one showed up, and I spent 2 terrible humid nights in the room. The person next to me during the check out was complaining for the same thing so apparently this is a common theme. ||Another not so pleasant experience was on the check out. They could not figure out half an hour how to charge my room the minibar expenses, and reverse from the deposit I paid during the check in. Finally they said they cannot figure out so they will try to do remotely. I cannot blame the young girls at the reception, they were interns or students apparently, and they were really struggling to help. They were discussing with a Senior Manager from the back office and coming back and trying to help, and going back for more advice. This mysterious person never showed up and tried to help. I think this is a management problem rather than a people problem. ||I don’t think I will be back in the short term, until management figure out their issues, in investing in the people and...
