Room itself was OK, but uncomfortable bed. What was really bad: we had $300 dollars stolen from our suitcase [no safe in the room ]. Hotel staff was not cooperating with us to replace the money: I called police [staff did not want to give me police number, but it was easy to find out ] - police came/took the report. It was determined that cleaning lady stole the money. Only the problem was - hotel did not have any information about her: they hired her without doing proper paper work [ apparently, some business there hire illegal workers to avoid pay taxes ]. Hotel did not want to take any responsibility for the action of there employee. At first they said something about giving us one night free/paying for a sightseeing trip, but it never happened - my credit card was charged in full. As we were talking to the police in the breakfast area, woman staying across from us came out of her room looking for the staff - she was complaining about mold in her shower. I will not recommend no one to stay in that hotel - your money/things can get stolen, and hotel staff does not cooperate with you to help to resolve...
Read moreAmazingly cheap boutique hotel. The location is very good just off Nevsky Prospekt and 5 minutes walk from Vladimirskaya station. The neighborhood is very safe and upscale. Rooms are very clean and well designed to provide cozy, home-like atmosphere. My bed was very big and very comfortable. I had a great sleep. Upon check in service was provided with great attention and care. When I requested I received a paid of complimentary earplugs! Breakfast is plenty: Russian frankfurters (very delicisous), toast, butter, jam, and Lavazza coffee. Wifi was stable and fast. I stayed here out of season and I paid half of the list...
Read moreThere is nothing really bad in this hotel, but nothing really good, either. Except the location.||It is a small and quiet hotel, but not very tidy. During our 3 night stay the beds were not made, towels changed or litters removed. Not a big thing, but even many hostels do that. Also, we did find marks of the earlier guests, such as food in the fridge and trash in the bathroom. All the staff members seemed somehow confused all the time. Like they were wondering why are the foreigners here. ||Please note: the English web page says that a breakfast is included, but the hotel dosn't even have a...
