Let me first say this: the food is pretty good. Tasty, nice portions, I’d say the higher price is more or less justified. But when it comes to the service, the situation is a bit different. First of all, there’s no way to check out the menu or the prices beforehand: the Google Map listings are all wrong: most of the breakfast dishes are either missing or have different ingredients or prices. Second of all, the menu itself is minimalistic to a fault: without proper descriptions there’s no way of knowing what exactly will you get. There’s no website either, and the service is slow. Looking for some eggs for breakfast (must have eggs for breakfast!!), found this little gem. They have a breakfast menu and serve it until 2pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends. They have English menus available and the staff spoke English which was a plus...they were very nice and friendly by the way. The food was great. I'm an avid fan of fresh eggs...you know the eggs with orange yolk. And these yolks were orange allright :)) We had the mexican huevos, egg benedict with turkey and the omelette with bacon...all of them great. Finally I was able to have a decent breakfast....

Ordered ministrone and it wasn't the usual one, the broth was delicious and vegetables were cut in large pieces (and it wasn't what I am used to) and I enjoyed it. Risotto with ricotta and cep, and it was the best I have had for a long time. But most of all I enjoyed brownie with ice-cream, it was superb. Service was friendly and helpful. One of the best places I have been in Saint-Petersburg during my last visit and will come to Fartuk again next...
