Center Hotel is an amazingly peaceful hotel in the very heart of the hustle and bustle of St. Petersburg. Despite the close proximity of the Vosstaniya Square, one could have imagined residing in a quiet suburban area when in the room. Under the apartment room window there is a pedestrian zone and a few shops and restaurants, along with some people hanging around the street during the weekend, but the almost incessant noise of the Nevsky Avenue traffic was completely missing.||||We stayed in the spacious apartment room which features also a small kitchen with a fridge and a stove. In the bathroom, the rain shower provided excellent water pressure and hot enough water, which is not always the case around these parts -- having a shower was a pure joy. Other excellent feature was the wifi that did not drop connections a single time. The hotel has a lot of other thought-out features and amenities that one does not miss until the need arises -- in our case the umbrellas in the wardrobe that most probably will come in handy to anyone visiting the rainy autumn of St. Petersburg.||||The hotel is located one floor up from the street level with a common staircase to other floors of the building, and the room key cards can be used to open the locked front door of the house -- this is convenient as it's not necessary to ring the reception's doorbell even though the reception is...
Read morePerfect location! Metro/Bus/Trolley Bus/Train Station(to Moscow) are all next to it. Only 15 - 20 mins bus ride to Winter Palace. Tourist Information Center just around the corner. Newly renovated with modern facilities, says, double gazed window, powerful shower, etc. The owner is running the hotel with heart. I really appreciate their effort to fulfill my special requirement, i.e., to have a writing desk in my single room. Breakfast is wonderful and outperform my expectation. Good quality and the daily special is rotated. Coffee, tea and drinking water are provided all day long with no charge. The housekeeping term is doing a good job and my room is spotlessly clean.||||Also, the reception team are all very helpful. Special thanks to Maria for her initiative and the gentleman who come from Uzbekistan (forgot to ask for his name). He speaks perfect English and help me a lot in term of checking out the tourist information and so on. ||||All in all, this is an excellent small hotel with great price in St Petersburg. I would recommend it to my friends without...
Read moreLiterally a mini hotel, 10 rooms of good sizes, located across from the Moskovsky railway station and metro station. We arrived at midnight from Tallinn on the Baltiski Express train so we were very pleased to only have to walk a few hundred metres to find it. A single door with buzzer is the entrance, and the hotel is located on the first floor, so you have to carry your cases etc up, as there is no lift. Not a problem for us.|It is very quiet, well insulated, with air-conditioning and fantastic rain shower ensuite (at least in room 10).|Very friendly staff, with good English.|You book breakfast the night before, easily done on the app on the iPad at reception. Breakfast is good and plentiful.|Room has a fridge/minibar, free WiFi, and blinds to shut out the light..,the curtains are really only for decoration.|In summary a convenient, great value hotel close to transportation links and good places to eat. We will...
