I’ve had the pleasure of staying at many hotels around the world, but I can honestly say that Braira Al Olaya Hotel has redefined what exceptional service looks like. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel valued and well-cared for.

First and foremost, I must highlight the outstanding service of Gaji Rimad, the housekeeper assigned to my room 4017. Gaji was nothing short of amazing! He consistently went out of his way to ensure my room was exactly how I wanted it, paying attention to every little detail. Whether it was making sure the towels were perfectly arranged or taking extra care with the amenities, Gaji’s dedication to excellence was evident in every aspect of his work. It’s clear that he takes immense pride in his role, and it made a huge difference to my stay.

The Housekeeping Manager also deserves special mention. His leadership style is truly inspiring—he leads by example. Not only did he ensure that the housekeeping team was delivering at the highest level, but he also went out of his way to make sure every guest was satisfied. His genuine commitment to guest satisfaction was apparent, and it made me feel like I was staying in a place where excellence was the standard, not the exception.

When I first read the reviews before booking, I was a bit skeptical. I thought, “Could this hotel really live up to all the hype?” But after staying here, I completely understand why this place has such high ratings. Every member of the team, from housekeeping to dining to the front desk, is dedicated to making sure you have a seamless and enjoyable experience.

The service in the restaurant was exceptional as well. As soon as I stepped in for breakfast, I was greeted immediately by the friendly staff. Mark, in particular, was fantastic. He made sure to take my order promptly, especially on the days when I didn’t have much time before heading out for a meeting. It’s those little things, like always making sure my breakfast order was handled with speed and care, that really stood out. The chef knew exactly how I liked my French toast.

Tahin, the restaurant staff service, was absolutely amazing. His respectful demeanor and attention to detail made each meal feel like a five-star dining experience. He genuinely went out of his way to ensure I felt like a valued guest, and it made every dining experience memorable. I would often ask for more juice, instead of using the same cup, he would always grab a new clean cup.

And I can’t forget Mohamed from the front desk. Every night, I ordered shawarma to my room, sometimes forgetting to mention my name or room number. But Mohamed knew exactly who I was without me having to say a word—he knew my room number (4017) and always ensured that my order was confirmed. His attentiveness was beyond impressive!

The bellmen and concierge staff also made my stay even more enjoyable. Every time I returned from my meetings, they greeted me with a smile, genuinely happy to see me. I believe his name was Sundeer, and his friendly, welcoming demeanor truly added a personal touch to my daily experience.

Lastly, I want to thank the management team for training such an exceptional staff. It’s clear that everyone here is not only skilled but also deeply committed to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Every staff member I encountered, from the restaurant to housekeeping, went out of their way to ensure my needs were met.

The rooms at Braira Hotel Olaya are modern, spacious, and well-furnished. My room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed and a great city view. I appreciated the espresso machine, which was a nice touch for coffee lovers. The bathroom was spotless and stocked with quality toiletries, making the stay even more convenient. However, I did notice that some rooms have a lingering smell of smoke, even in non-smoking areas, which could be an issue for non-smokers.

Service & Staff

The hotel staff were friendly and professional, making check-in and check-out smooth. The reception team was helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. Housekeeping was efficient, but at times, there were small delays in room service and getting extra amenities. The restaurant staff, particularly Apu Biswas, provided excellent service, ensuring a welcoming and pleasant dining experience.

The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of my stay. It had a good variety of international and local dishes, fresh juices, and quality coffee. There were plenty of options to choose from, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. It’s a great way to start the day before heading out to explore Riyadh.

The hotel offers good facilities, including a gym and a small outdoor pool. The gym is well-equipped, making it easy to stick to a workout routine while traveling. The Wi-Fi connection was stable and fast, which was a big plus for work-related tasks.

One of the biggest advantages of Braira Hotel Olaya is its prime location. It’s within close proximity to Kingdom Tower, Al Faisaliah Tower, and major business districts. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, which adds to the convenience. Parking was available, but it could get crowded during peak hours.

How can I start with this. I’ll count:

1. firstly and most importantly, my room’s “do not disturb” button was ON all day long and after a long day I return to the room to find that someone got in and left a welcoming dish (first seemed like leftovers), WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO ENTER A ROOM WHILE THE DND BUTTON IS ON, breach of privacy. Totally unacceptable. The only thing I got as an answer was “sorry we will check the system”. Very bad handling of this situation.
2. the room is supposed to be non smoking, but upon entering you smell the smoke that has sit on the curtains, rug and couch, they told me that it’s the AC “maybe” but still, not a good smell and still disgusting that they let the ac smell like this and not clean it. On the same not, one guy from the reception implied that he will check the cameras if somebody smoked inside the room and I asked how is this possible and he told me “he would look from the corridor camera” as if the smoke would be sneaking out from down the door and then he changed subject.
3. broken iron, started leaking all over my shirt but at least they gave me another one which is kinda working.
4. broken shower door, does not shut all the way
5. broken shower, you can’t fix from where the water comes from.
6. the room is SO dark with the least amount of natural light coming in. They know about this because if you check all the photos they have used flash to photograph this very dark place. Feels almost claustrophobic. Since you know that you don’t have natural light coming in, AT LEAST use enough lights inside the room so to compensate for the loss of natural light.
7. bathroom is also dark as hell, worst lighting actually I have seen inside a bathroom, you can’t look yourself in the mirror
8. no complimentary shampoo and shower gel, only two body lotions that are just Nivea repacked, but in order to even use this you obviously have to first clean your body. For the money and the stars of this hotel, the hotel HAS to be better than this. The hotel is not currently aware of all this, just some, I will let them know tomorrow, of course I’m not waiting for anything by their side to compensate for all this. Honest opinion, there are many great choices, just STAY AWAY as far as you can...
