Hotel St.Florian Sturovo — Hotel in Štúrovo

Hotel consists of the main building (there are actually 9 rooms) and one very small buildeng where 1 apartment is located in. We had this apartment in external building which is about 20 meters from the main building (I don´t know anything about other rooms in the main building, so my review is according to the apartment room). The room is located on the first floor with steep stairs to it, it is spacy with enough room to place your stuff there. There is also a sofa where you can relax on, big queen bed and private wc and shower. Due to the fact that it is located outside of the main building there was only warm water (not hot one) flowing out of the pipes and the wifi signal was very weak. The hotel has its own restaurant (inside and outside sitting area) with nice pizza too. The quality of food is excellent and the portions are big. Breakfast buffet was included in room price and it was better than average and very tasty. The owners are very helpful and are trying to fulfil your expectations.||The hotel is located a very few steps from a city center with some conveniance stores, bakery shops, restaurants and another options for shopping. In a walking distace there is a bridge over the Danube river (in the middle of it is a border with Hungary) together with Estergom city on the Hungarian site - a must visit during your stay. Visegrad city with its beautiful castle located on the city hill is affordable for your visit too, it is about 26 km away...

We only stayed here for one night to visit the beautiful Cathedral at Esztergom which is located about 30 mins walk away over the river and up the hill. Staff and owners were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ample off street parking and only 5 mins in a taxi from the station. Breakfast was included in the room price which was all good value. Our rooms were simple but very clean, however it was also extremely hot. There was an air con unit on the wall but it was minus a lot of the important buttons plus no remote so we assumed it did not work. Thankfully you could open up the balcony windows but then in late into the evening you had to listen to the noise and music from the bar directly below. This hotel is a good base for visiting Esztergom but suggest you request a room away from the bar and one where the air con is...

We stayed in the St. Florian when we traveled into Esztergom Hungary. The St. Florian is a fabuous hotel just on the other side of the river from the giant Esztergom Cathedral. The hotel was very nice and the staff were very accommodating. Our family of 5 stayed in their largest apartment room which had plenty of room. They have an excellent restaurant on site and you can add breakfast to your stay for almost nothing. We loved all the food. ||||With the hotel's close proximity to Esztergom, we couldn't have asked for a better location and the whole experience we had just made our stay very memorable.
