Penzión Borievka — Hotel in Poprad

Pension Borievka in Spisska Sobota, near Poprad||(please note that this is not in city of Poprad, but in a nearby village ||called Spisska Sobota)||Experience: Lady owner shouting at guests to get out off the property:||Stressing them out. This was just before check-out, when it was aroud 11.45 am and the check-out supposed to be at 12 (noon). The lady owner first SHOUTED at my children to get out their room, they came rushing to our room to report this to me (we paid for 2 double rooms) rather stressed. Then she came to my and my parther's room to tell us to get out, that she has others guests coming. When we left, she did not even replied to our 'Good bye'. We even forgot expensive phone charger there, since we were rushing to leave this horrid place.||||Very, very dissapointed.!!!! ||The place is very basic|| and the location is fine under the circumstances that you have a car or prepare to walk to the main city and attractions||. Nevertheless, the lady owner's attitude is not fine at all ! I also did not feel comfortable there, since you - guests- stay at 2nd floor, where small rooms are, and the lady owner occupies and lives at the 1st floor. I went around 6am to open the room door and she was standing right there, at the corridor. Got a fright a bit. She asked me why I am awake already?||||Paid cash ( in EURos) up front at the arrival, paid for 3 nights, for 2 double rooms, however I wish to pinpoint the receipt was not issued for us.||I love Tatras and the area around Poprad, since it has a very beautiful nature.||However, will never stay again in this pension Borievka in Spisska Sobota and would never recommend it to anyone. The whole trip was spoiled due to the attitude towards the guests, which was on my opinion, dreadful and felt as 'Big brother is watching you' type of experience.||I worked in the hospitality industry myself for decades. We needed a place to stay for two nights close to High Tatras and after a brief search online we chose Borievka. It is located not in Poprad as in city centre, but rather in a old historic part named Spišská Sobota with beautiful main square just a few minutes walk away from Borievka. The owner was very friendly and did everything she could so that we could move in earlier (I needed to do some urgent work so I asked for early checkin). The place itself was nice, the location as mentioned earlier is really convenient - nice part of Poprad and only 2 minutes drive from highway. V tomto penzióne som zažila jeden z najhorších zážitkov z ubytovania. Platila som vopred zaplatila som si za tri noci, ranajky a welness. Welness som mala hneď v prvý deň. Pán z hotela(asi majitel) mi welness ukazal a povedal ze na moj cas bude vsetko pripravene. Samozrejme, pripravené nebolo nič. Sauna studená, vypnutá. Vírivka studená tiež. Volala som majitelovi a po info od neho v sms ze je na koncerte som mu opisala situaciu do sms. Neriesil to nijak, nereagoval. Povedala som si ok, vyriesime to ráno, lenže ten človek mi ožratý na mol volal o pol jednej ráno, zobudil ma a rozprával mi do telefónu úplné spiťácke kraviny. To ma naozaj znepokojilo. Ranajky som mala dohodnuté na 7:30. Ranajky na druhy den samozrejme neboli, kedze majitel ma asi problem s alkoholom nedokazal vstať a nič nepripravil. Pritom som za ne zaplatila 8€ čo nie je málo. Nedvihal mi telefon. Az po druhej som sa s nim spojila .,ked som mu sla klopat na jeho privatne dvere. Ospravedlnil sa a vratil mi peniaze za welness a jedny ranajky. Povedala som si ok, kazdy moze mat zly den. Povedal, ze uz ma zvysok pobytu budu cakat ranajky na stole, ze sa nemam bat. Na druhé rano zas samozrejme nič. Žiadne raňajky. (Zaplatené vopred!!!) Išla som majitelovi zaklopať a on vtedy vstal a s mojimi raňajkami, ktoré som si zaplatila sa absolutne neobťažoval. Príšerné. Okamžite som odišla. Najhoršie ubytovanie v Poprade aké som zažila. Neodporúčam. Vybavenie penziónu je mimo tohto správania nadštandardné. Fén na izbe, tv, papuče, sprchové gély tampony ma odlicenie tycinky do usi. Má pekný welness, ktorý by bol super ak by mi ho niekto aj zapol, keď som zaň zaplatila dopredu 25€. Má aj výťah a viete si zakupit hygienicke potreby na recepcii ak ste si zabudli, samozrejme ak by na recepcii niekto bol, ale...
