I used to be a big fan of AquaCity Poprad, I used to recommend it to all my friends when they travelled to The region. Especially Their Wellness. It offers a lot of steam and dry saunas, Infrared sauna as well as a private pool and a jacuzzi. Ideal for an evening calm down after a hike in high tatras! However my recent visit has left a very bitter aftertaste and I will no longer recommend this facility to my friends. Not even to my worst enemies.

MINORS IN WELLNESS (-3 STARS) While most “Naked” wellness centres refuse entry to anyone under 18, This wellness have “a strict No Entry for 12 year olds and under” (according to the signage on the entryway). However while visiting this time, I counted around 9 kids who were definitely not even 12. There was a 3 year old in the pool! It is already extremely uncomfortable to be in a “No Swimsuit” zone when there are Underaged around. I had to be covered in saunas because of minors as little as 4years old being present. One thing is the health risks the parents of the kids are ignoring, another is the discomfort these kids are causing. It is not possible to relax when there is a kid talking loudly in the sauna about wanting to go to the slide, another one Playing with the shower head and three more running around the area. This used to be a place for a peaceful relaxation and now it turned to a Playground. And the staff seem to not even care. They handed sheets to the kids with a big smile and did not even ask parents for age or warn them that it might be inappropriate or dangerous for the child to be present. But at least the staff smiled , unlike the:

COCKY RECEPTIONIST (-1 STAR) The Day before The Receptionist at the till was rude when I tried to Enter the aqua park 45 minutes before closure. I was accommodated in the hotel and I wanted to go for a quick swim. Instead I got an annoyed lady Laughing while telling me to “maybe try the luck tomorrow”. Not that big of a deal, it was almost closed, sure. Maybe she had a bad day or really wanted to go home. However, there are nicer ways of saying it to someone, especially when they are accommodated there. She is the front facing customer service employee and Being cocky is not the way to provide the service I was used to here.

THE RESTAURANT WATER WITH LEMON PRICE GREW OVERNIGHT. 😂 BUT FOOD AND STUDENT STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. (+1 Star) while not a big issue. It is proof of how disorganised this place really is. One day a small jug of lemon water is 1.80€ and the next evening it was 2€. I thought the water would be included in a Hotel Dinner, but no. The staff appears to be culinary college students, they worked hard and provided exceptional service given their age. It might have been a mistake and other than the funny story, the dinner and breakfast was great, both food and Service, if anything, it Saved Aquacity Poprad from Getting only a one star rating.

IN SUMMARY: Wellness Is not about relax anymore but about avoiding kids, the receptionist thinks she’s the Queen and the restaurant has great food and the staff is professional. Lemon water was 1.80€ and...

My recent visit to Aqua City Poprad was an extraordinary experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into this incredible facility, I was captivated by the wide range of amenities and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

First and foremost, the water park at Aqua City Poprad is a true paradise for water lovers of all ages. The selection of pools, slides, and water attractions is unparalleled. Whether you're seeking thrilling adventures on the high-speed slides or prefer a more tranquil experience in the soothing thermal pools, there is something for everyone here. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities were impeccable, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the thermal spa. The moment I submerged myself into the warm, mineral-rich waters, I felt the stress of everyday life melt away. The spa's serene ambiance, coupled with the therapeutic properties of the thermal water, created a truly rejuvenating experience for both body and mind. The variety of saunas and relaxation areas provided an opportunity to unwind and find inner peace.

Aqua City Poprad goes beyond just water-related activities. The wellness center offers an array of treatments and massages that cater to individual needs. The skilled and attentive staff provided exceptional service, ensuring that each session was tailored to my preferences and left me feeling refreshed and invigorated.

The dining options within Aqua City Poprad are equally impressive. The on-site restaurants and cafes offer a diverse selection of cuisine, from local delicacies to international flavors. I thoroughly enjoyed indulging in delicious meals and refreshing beverages that were prepared with care and served with a smile. The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall dining experience.

Furthermore, the attention to detail and overall cleanliness throughout the entire facility was commendable. From the pristine changing rooms to the well-maintained common areas, it was evident that Aqua City Poprad takes great pride in ensuring a pleasant and hygienic environment for its guests.

Finally, I must mention the exceptional customer service I received during my visit. The staff members were not only knowledgeable and helpful but also genuinely passionate about providing a memorable experience for each visitor. Their warm and friendly demeanor made me feel valued as a guest and contributed to the overall positive atmosphere.

In conclusion, Aqua City Poprad is a five-star oasis that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Whether you're seeking thrilling water activities, indulgent spa treatments, or simply a place to unwind and recharge, this facility has it all. The exceptional amenities, top-notch service, and attention to detail make Aqua City Poprad a must-visit destination. I cannot recommend it highly enough and cannot wait to return for another...

Where do I even start… On the first day, check-in was painfully slow. There were 3–4 people in front of us and only one person working at reception.

They asked us what time we wanted to have dinner — either from 5:30 to 6:30 PM or from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. A strange system, but fine, we picked the later one so we could swim a bit longer. We showed up around 7 PM, but there was barely any food left even though dinner was supposed to go until 8 PM. And what was left was terrible. No waiter even bothered to come and ask if we wanted anything to drink — and we were thirsty. There were no desserts either, nothing to choose from, and this was at 7 PM!

The next day, there was a training session in the kids’ pool, and the only other pool opened at 12:00 PM. That’s just ridiculous. The wellness area only opened at 2 PM every day — also ridiculous.

We thought we’d try the earlier dinner slot the next evening. That was slightly better, maybe 2/5 at best — edible, but not good. The lemonade was basically lemon-flavored water. Fantastic. (Not really.)

Breakfast was okay, nothing to complain about there.

But the third dinner… that was the final straw. The same soup for the third day in a row. The duck soup had literally nothing in it — no meat, no flavor, nothing. We arrived around 6:40 PM (so not even late this time), and the sweet potato purée was completely inedible — I had to spit it out. There was supposed to be some fresh pasta dish, but it was already gone by 7 PM, even though dinner runs until 8. That’s disgusting. They insist on these “two dining slots,” yet they can’t even provide enough food for either one.

And dessert? Get this — whipped cream with a single piece of fruit on top. That’s it. That’s dessert?!

This hotel absolutely does not deserve 4 stars. The hair dryer is useless, you can’t even properly dry your hair. If you ask for water, they give you tap water.

And seriously — the wellness area opens at 2 PM?! Because of that, it’s always packed — I waited 20 minutes just to get in.

We were there with a child, but everything closes by 8 PM. The big playhouse closes at 7:30, and of course, that’s written nowhere.

We had a room on the first floor, but to get to dinner, we had to go up to the third floor and then back down to the first. What a joke.

I’ve stayed at several wellness hotels before, but this one was far below expectations — truly...

We were probably at a time when it wasn't as packed. The staff would need some training in costumer service. I get it that it must be exhausting with the sheer volume of people, but common courtesy would be nice. Been to few pools in my life and nothing here was with a wow effect. Main issue was when I thought I could just walk out for a moment and met staff that didn't even speak English. Only one girl. After the gentleman at the gate took the watch off me and sent it in to the machine. I still didn't understand what he was saying. With that I had items in locker that I would not be able to get out as some in our group was still inside and the locker was locked with my watch. Leaves a sour taste just to know that such famous tourist place has so little staff that are able to speak in international language wich is English. Maybe a shift pattern should be implemented so the staff is not so annoyed with costumers. The price is not cheap to be met with non smiling staff. This is a tick in the bucket list, but don't think I would return here. Car park is outdated and impossible to understand whether you need to pay for parking or not. In my opinion outside area could do with some update. I hardly believe that earnings are so bad that the aforementioned things are impossible to improve on. Oberall it's good to go with kids. But if you expect good service then maybe find some other place to go to. Have no idea what do people like here. Language and politeness should be key to success. Maybe the owners don't care as it still brings money so they don't feel like investing anymore.

First thing to watch out for....The cryocare center next door does COVID-19 Testing and the preparedness of the staff is abysmal. People coming there for testing walk around without any protective masks as if nothing was going on, exposing visitors to potential danger of COVID-19 exposure. The only thing we liked was the Wellness center. But be prepared, if you visit the welness centre, to watch as some of the visitors, shamelessly expose their private parts to your "benefit" The exorbitant price they ask for entry is ridiculous. For 36 €, which is preposterous, you get access to pools and only one time access to welness centre. The pools are somewhat lacking in areas like fun and entertainment. Except for the 50m pool for swimmers, all of the pools are pretty small, which means, you have very little personal space. Also, the attractions which are in those pools are not really working as a paying customer would expect. Since its called AquaCITY, one would assume, you'd have many ways to entertain yourself. You won't. 6 water slides are present at the premises of "AquaCITY"...SIX...Hungarian aquapark very close to slovak borders has more of those for less than a third of the price. Food is also a chapter of its own. Since you're close to High Tatras, prepare for a significant added value to everything you purchase. .... i'm adding a receipt to prove it. 2 very dry "hot dogs" 2 beers and one tiny sack of mayo...19€...so great..so classy ?...not really. This is a prime example of Slovak approach to tourism. Mediocre services for ridiculous prices. Will never visit again.

There are many names for the thermal baths and AquaCity for this is really suitable. If you are keen on swimming, you can enjoy yourself in the "city" of swimming -50 m indoor swimming pool. There was a swimming competition today and because we have 2 small children we did not feel any disadvantage of not using this swimming pool. Our children enjoyed time in the indoor children's pool and indoor children's club. You can find more cities in one AquaCity:) and enjoy, relax, have your own time and world not be disturbed by others. Are you a senior? Create a group of 10 seniors and pay only 8 € in the working week. If you are aqualover check their permanent tickets for 139€. Definitely check AquaCity website and have even cheaper entrance if ordering a ticket online! The only annoying thing is smoking area, eating area and small kid's club in the eating area - the smell of the heavy smoke gets into the part of the eating area and because the place for children is opposite the smoking area all smell gets there as well :(.
