Bohinj River House — Hotel in Bohinj

My wife and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We found exactly what we were looking for, and it exceeded our expectations. We were greeted very warmly by a friend of the two owners, who showed us around and explained everything.

The breakfast is small but delicious and is made by the two owners themselves. Everything you need to start the day feeling refreshed.

The small spa offers a whirlpool, a sauna, and a cold plunge pool. Perfect for me after a strenuous run through the small town and region. Don't expect a huge sauna area here, but it's perfectly adequate. It's very clean and the whole hotel smells very pleasant.

The room also had everything you could wish for. The view of the mountains and the river flowing right by the hotel are breathtaking.

If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I definitely would! The studio was super clean and spacious, stocked with all the amenities you would need during your stay and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location is very convenient for discovering the beauty of the Julian Alps and the wellness is a well-deserved treat after your adventures. The thing that stand out the most at this beautiful hotel is the hospitality and warmth of the staff. It was beyond anything I have ever experienced! No question asked was too much and everything was done with a smile! I’m not one to write reviews often but I couldn’t recommend...

Stayed here for a week August 2025 - family of five. Really wonderful place. One of the the best thought-out places I've stayed in. Everything is beautifully finished / crafted. The blackout blinds actually work, the a/c is powerful and quiet. All the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfasts were continental - lovely bread rolls and plenty of choice. Lake Bohinj is a 10 mins drive away (20 mins cycle) and there is a really nice fast flowing river you can paddle and swim in, down the road. Beautiful countryside...
