Hotel Center — Hotel in Postojna

For visiting the cave, we've decided to stay two nights in this hotel.|It is in a very convenient location, 15 min walking to the cave.|The room (triple) was quite large and confortable.|We do not like too soft pillows, but there was no other choice, so the staff provided to us an additional pillow to put over.|Our room was facing the back side, apparently better but in reality a bit noisy for the aircooler (at least we tought it was) motor. Keeping the windows closed the noise was much lower, but the temperature less confortable. Staying at Hotel Sport for 3 weeks from mid July to early august this year was an absolute pleasure. Every single member of the staff was attentive and willing to help out in any way possible. The daily breakfast had a wonderful variety of foods, including greek yogurt, hot sausages, hot eggs, delicious pastries, and even a working instant espresso machine. The rooms were large and comfortable with working A/C. The beds were a little bit on the firm side but after a long day out in the sun they felt amazing. Only one thing I might note for American Tourists: the plumbing in this country is much different. At night I made sure to close the bathroom door otherwise the room wouldn't smell great...

A triple room with air conditioning was advertised. We booked and paid for this. However, the air conditioning did not work. The air conditioning did not work in the replacement room either. The hotel could not offer us an adequate replacement, so we were forced to change to a double room where the air conditioning worked. The room was tiny and the bathroom was outdated. As it was not a double bed, but two single beds pushed together, they drifted apart and our child disappeared into the crack. Not a pleasant night.

However, the hotel thought it was ok to keep the price for the triple room anyway. No correction to the price. We paid for a triple room but only got...
