Hotel Kras — Hotel in Postojna

We had an amazing experience at the bar at Hotel Kras last Wednesday evening after visiting Postojna Cave. We stopped by the town square (quite a few restaurants and bars and a nice park there) and we chose this bar for a drink, and it honestly couldn’t have been better

The outdoor seating area was beautiful and relaxing with nice music and some greenery, and we were looked after by a fantastic waiter called Alem. Even though he seemed to be the only one serving all the tables (and it was FULL outside), he was incredibly friendly, spoke excellent English, and really did deliver an amazing service.

We were a group of 7, and both rounds of drinks arrived within around 5 mins of ordering - something we honestly didn’t expect with so many customers. Alem handled everything quickly, efficiently, and with a smile.

The tables and floor was clean, and so were all the 🥂

As well as the amazing service 💯, the prices were very reasonable compared with the bars around the cave area which had shocking prices!

I would highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Postojna - great atmosphere, excellent service, and hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to be served by Alem 😊!

However, the only downside was that they didnt have any icecream as their freezer apparently wasn't working which was a shame 😟, and that they dont serve any snacks...

Best location, best view, best experience in Postojna. I stayed in this hotel for quite some times, but this is my first stay after corona outbreak. There is not the best situation in Slovenia regarding the spread of the disease, but Hotel Kras has adapted to the situation fabulously. They changed their breakfast policy without loosing the service quality, they are very flexible in the matter of personal preferences regarding rooms selection and above all, there are plenty of disinfectant sprays in all areas. On my way to the airport in Ljubljana, I made a one-night stop in Postojna. I have done some research on TripAdvisor and chosen the Kras Hotel. Well, it was perfect, the hotel was surprisingly good and well appointed. My room on the 4th floor was spacious and comfortable. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the room, it was immaculate. Breakfast was of adequate quality, parking included, so everything fine.
