His Vessel Guesthouse Clarens — Hotel in Dihlabeng Local Municipality

We recently stayed at His Vessel Guest house and what a wonderful place it is. Our hosts Rina and Andre where amazing from start to finish, small details in the room like home baked rusks and even some sherry for the cold evenings. They are knowledgeable about everything in and around Clarens, restaurants, cheese tasting etc. The room was perfect everything we needed cozy, warm very clean and stylishly decorated. Even with the loadshedding we had lights and a hot shower. They are extremely pet friendly which made a big impression on us. Their two doggies greeted us very friendly and our dog fitted right in. The location is perfect just far enough from the main street to make you feel as if you are in the mountains somewhere, quiet and dark at night. Having said that it is only a couple of minutes walk away from town which suited us perfectly. If you want a romantic weekend away or just a short of maybe longer break this is where you must stay in Clarens. Bernard,...

Although the hosts are very friendly our unit did not live up to it's expectations at all!! There is two units that are seperated only by a drywall so you can literally hear through the walls. You also share a geyser with the adjacent unit that we did not know, so we showered in ice cold water after a long day out horseback riding and hiking. There is no windows for air circulation and thus you have to sleep with either an open door or a loose standing fan. The bedding has a very overpowering soapy smell and the extractor fan in the bathroom makes it ice cold. There is no shower door so the floor and bath mat gets soaked. The pics on the web is definitely strategically taken! Our unit needs a serious upgrade! Definitely over priced and won't be visiting again sorry...live has become to expensive to be...

How do we even start to say thank you to Rina and Andre? Our stay was amazing from start to end. Your greeting party is made up of the two friendliest doggies and Andre and you already start to feel at home. Our room had all the necessary comforts and the most awesome view from the back patio. The tranquil surroundings and birds chirping allowed one to relax and clear your mind. According to Rina and Andre, we haven't seen nearly enough of Clarence so we will most definitely be back and better prepared for more adventures. Best regards...
