Guest House at 118 — Hotel in Gauteng

We stayed at Guest House at 118 for over a week. We had a studio type unit with a good kitchen and a very comfortable bed as well as a nice bathroom . Our friendly hosts, Deirdre and Keith, had left a number of food items as a welcome gift, which was very nice. Even with all the load shedding, we had power all the time as they have a robust solar and battery backup power, so we never experienced any power loss in our unit.

We enjoyed our stay here so much we extended our time from 4 to 8 days as it felt very home like and a welcome change from all the hotels we had been staying at. The location is very convenient with easy access via Uber to the top attractions. Uber prices were so low that we felt there was no need to rent a car. They have covered parking however if you do choose to rent a car.

They also have a beautiful garden which you can safely enjoy as the premises...

Very neat, elegant and comfortable room. My room was facing this magnificent garden view. I never got to enjoy it as the weather was wet and cloudy. The owners were very friendly, it felt like home away from home. On the day of my arrival, I asked for supper and breakfast at the last minute. Deidre went out of her way and made me a healthy delicious supper and breakfast for the next two days of my stay. The day before my departure she offered me a tour. The house has beautiful sculpture that she and her husband Keith bought around the African continent. The garden is well looked after and breathtaking. As you enter the guest house there's this fresh air and calmness.

Guesthouse at 118 is a place that exemplifies class and elegance in a homie ambience. This guest house is a true definition of "simplicity is beauty". Liked · This place was awesome and exceeded my expectations by far. The hosts are very nice. I really felt at home. The breakfast was exceptionally good and Deirdre will bring it at the exact time with her beautiful smile assisted by Keith her loving husband. She also fetched me from the train station and Keith drove me to the station on going home. Deirdre drove me Also to the test center for my NCLEX exam and didn’t leave me until We reached the entrance of the center. If will visit SA again, I will still choose...
