Service was sluggish, despite the restaurant being almost entirely empty. We had a preset menu and the chicken came undercooked - it was pink - yet the waiter insisted it was “moist”. Our drinks were not put in ice, we had requested ice three times as another table had ice with the same bottle of wine we had ordered. But the server must’ve chose not to bring it for some reason. Another server brought us ice, eventually. We thought this just us, but the people next to us ordered wine and didn’t receive their glasses for over 15 minutes after the wine had came. I was so embarrassed for them that I offered them a taste of our wine. Did I mention the glass I received was dirty? The waiter didn’t offer to replace it when he saw me wiping it with the napkin. This experience was surreal.

The food was okay (if not pulled from a kiddies menu). Although I have concerns, I accept it was from a preset menu from a separate event. I liked the venue. Very cute and cozy restaurant. Let down by the food and...

My partner and I had a terrible experience with the service. We were staying at the Catalyst and we got to the restaurant there and no one attended to us they told us to just grab a sit they’ll come-they did not. We waited so long and even had to go ask them to bring us menus. We waited for another 15min plus and even had to go ask them to please take our order- the breakfast period even ended while we were waiting. Someone finally took our order but forgot to place it and we ended up waiting even longer. When the food finally arrived, my partner had to return the eggs twice because they couldn’t get the well-done right. We went back later for dinner and the service was a bit better and the only reason for the 2 star is because the food during dinner was amazing. I booked a 1 week stay at Catalyst which included daily breakfast at the Kashew Restaurant and i terribly regretted paying for a room with breakfast. The service was awful, the staff did not provide key information on the first day and i discovered from other hotel patrons as the days went by. It would have been good to know that through my breakfast option i could either use buffet, or also order a hot meal from the breakfast menu and still eat the cereals/fruit from buffet. Moreover they did not tell us from the first day that if you got a caffe latte it was not included in the breakfast. I was shocked being asked to pay afterwards. On another day, i when i arrived for breakfast and there was no food at all.. they hurriedly prepared the buffet breakfast which was inedible as the bacon and pork sausage were undercooked.
