Life on 3rd — Hotel in Gauteng

Even better than I thought. I presented my make-up workshop at Life on 3rd Guesthouse in Melville and it is even better than I thought as I only saw it in pictures. The guesthouse's conferencing venue is perfect for small workshops and functions. The guesthouse itself is private, spacious and has lots of natural light. There is security close by so I had a sense of safety. The food and refreshments were great and the staff were willing to accommodate particular dietary needs. I had asked for "make-up friendly" food and that is what I got. I'm very glad that I chose this venue and I will definitely be having more workshops and other events there in future. Perhaps because it was a Saturday when we arrived, and we left on Monday, we were not greeted in a very friendly manner. The room was pleasant and the beds clean and comfortable but the bedside lamps were unhandy and difficult to switch on and off.. The kettle had to be boiled on the floor as the cord was not long enough. The fan was noisy and threatening to fall. The breakfast was served efficiently but any different request was met with disapproval. I am vegan and gluten free so had little to eat. Great guest house and good food is available there. They are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. I paid for small room but they gave bigger room for same price Cos of luggage’s. Nice bed with heater. The Zimbabwean manager was great leader and so friendly. She helped me on security tips, educate me on where to go and where not to go....... The security is very point.
