When you pay nearly R1000 per person for a tasting menu with pairings of wine, you have some expectations, and NCW just did not live up to them for us. It's a pretty place. The service was perfunctory and rushed, but pleasant. Wines came late with courses half the time - not a train smash, but not what you expect when paying this much. Food was okay. The guards really look out for women when you take a taxi service. Thank goodness I came with my own power balls to power through the hunger till my chips arrived. He chef kept apologising but made it clear that he won’t make anything for me…but feed my hunger with...

I will definitely...
