Bismillah Restaurant-Melville — Restaurant in Gauteng

I ordered a delivery via UBER eats on the 7th of July 2022. The order was delivered with one item short and one of the items damaged due to it being packaged in a too hot a package that was not suitable for the food. The meal was damaged.

I called Bismillah Melville and immediately informed them of this. The person answering the phone said they could not resend the order but when I ordered again they would replace the items.

Today Saturday the 9th of July 2022 I was in the area and informed them that I was in the area and that I could pick the food items up. I was told they would call me back but before committing to this I was treated disrespectfully by the person on the phone. They never called me back.

I went to Bismillah Mellville 45min ago to see if I could remedy this. Again I was met with rudeness and disrespect: I was told I must make sure the order is right next time. Amongst being treated as if I had caused their service failures.

HEALTH HAZARD ALERT! Be careful when ordering food from this restaurant. I have experienced this twice now. The first time I found a staple in my food was when I ordered through uber eats. I complained through uber eats and went to the restaurant and told them and they blamed the delivery guy. The only reason I went back was because my grandmother recommended it. It appears they didn't even listen to me because once again, I found metal in my food. This is ridiculous, I will never go there again. Everybody beware! Check your food if you choose to buy from this place. I was very lucky that on both occasions, I noticed the metal in my mouth before swallowing. Edit: My complaints that I found originally have definitely been addressed. Grills are prompt and I haven't had a problem in the time it takes to get ready. There is seating space but either walk/take an uber because parking isnt great (although there ia always a security guard present). Prices are pretty fair as well. I am lowering my score however because of the really really bad Butter Chicken. Pretty much all the other food is great (chicken tikka, korma, karai) but its almost as if the recipe was derived by someone literally just combining butter and chicken. It should be rich obviously but this is lacks any other spices and depth.
