The is the most wonderful place. The location with uninterrupted views, across the landscaped gardens pool and sculptures , to the mountains is unrivalled. Our room the honeymoon suite was light airy and spacious, with a secluded patio. Breakfast was plentiful and the cooked to order plates delicious. The stylish aesthetic of the property is calm with clean lines and the art and sculptures are all beautiful. It was so quiet and so tranquil. |Perfectly located for easy walks around the picturesque Montagu - be sure to follow the history walk. Also easy access to amazing hikes from the house up a couple of streets straight into the reserve. Great restaurants nearby too. So perfect combination. |Probably our favourite place in our month trip in the western cape/Karoo areas. |Our hosts when we were there though were absolutely most wonderful people - Thankyou to Mara and Anneline - so warm hearted so kind and thoughtful such genuine warmth. This is a very friendly and special place that you in parts (kitchen, living room, pool area) share with the nice and hospitable owners and their cat (who are very discrete and do not disturb you at all, rather the opposite!). The house is modern but still cosy with high-quality furnishing. The rooms are well-equipped and have full privacy. Very nice garden. Great view in the mountains from the pool area. Absolutely quiet at the pool and in the rooms. Outstanding welcome and information package via mail before arrival. We recommend the home cooking service...

This place deserves all its five stars. We had a number of guests stay here for our Montagu wedding weekend and Martly went out of her way to help people coming with a child, checking in late, etc., by providing consistent guidance and flexibility. The breakfasts were especially amazing; you can tell the guesthouse takes real pride in them. The rooms are lovely but the real star features are the view, the pool, the art, the terrific location, and above all Martly and her wonderful team. Thank you for helping make our wedding...
