Pastel Cottages Self Catering or Bnb. Open — Hotel in Morningside

You pay for what you get could not be more true. Very basic accommodation. The self catering aspect refers to having a microwave & a small fridge. No area to prepare food. There is a room across the driveway allotted for cooking. WiFi non existent. Owner said it was because I have an iPhone. LOL. Very frustrated at the lack of connectivity. Was also told there was breakfast included but on enquiring was told it’s not an option if booked through an agent. No big deal but not the information that was provided to our PA. The surrounding is very dirty. bathroom and the toilet is a nightmare. The curtains are having mold. The towels are full of stains. The chairs, table, and couch, I guess the owner bought them from the auction. The odor inside the room is very bad. In fact, it is better to sleep inside a car than in pastel . And the mosquitoes will be singing and bitting you all night long. I looked for another accommodation immediately cause I never wanted to cause trauma to my kids. The place is in a creepy and dodgy side of town, nothing like you see in the pictures, it's so run down and not maintained, a prostitutes paradise, do not go there if you are traveling with kids, the locks on the doors are scary and super creepy, the furniture looks like it was a flashback from the 1950's and scary looking, the owner will not refund your money should you choose to not sleep there, false advertising at its finest, no safe parking, disgusting bed, dirty pigsty at a dodgy part of town,I would not even send my deadliest...
